- Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace and away from the sides and rear.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust openings in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- The fireplace is equipped with an auto-heat kill safety feature to prevent overheating. If the heater shuts off, unplug the unit and allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes before restarting.
- This fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
- Keep away from other appliances to ensure proper ventilation and operation.

4. Installation
This electric fireplace offers versatile installation options: it can be recessed into a wall or mounted directly on a wall surface. It is designed to fit perfectly within a 2" x 6" stud wall.
4.1 Wall Mounted Installation
For wall-mounted installation, ensure the chosen wall can support the weight of the fireplace. Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the unit to the wall.

4.2 Recessed Installation
For recessed installation, a cutout in the wall is required. The fireplace's ultra-thin design, with a depth of 3.85 inches, allows for a sleek, flush appearance. Refer to the detailed dimensions below for precise cutout measurements.

4.3 Power Cord Management
The power cord is 5.2 feet long and is located on the right side of the unit. Ensure the cord is not pinched or routed through areas where it could be damaged. The unit features a cable protection design for safety.

5. Operating Instructions
The Vitesse electric fireplace can be operated using either the integrated touch screen controls on the unit or the included remote control.

5.2 Power On/Off
Press the power button on the remote or touch screen to turn the fireplace on or off. There is also a main switch located on the unit itself (refer to Installation section).
5.3 Heat Settings
The fireplace offers two heat settings: 750W and 1500W. Select the desired wattage based on your heating needs. The 1500W setting provides supplemental zone heating for areas up to 400 square feet. The heat function can be operated independently of the flame effect.
5.4 Flame and Ember Bed Customization
Customize the visual ambiance with a variety of flame and ember bed options:
- Flame Colors: Choose from 12 distinct flame colors.
- Flame Speeds: Adjust the flame movement with 5 different speed settings (V1 to V5).
- Ember Bed Colors: Select from 12 LED ember bed lighting options to complement the flame.
- Brightness/Dimmer: Adjust the flame brightness from L1 to L5. A sleep mode function is also available.

5.5 Timer Function
Set the operational timer for 1 to 8 hours. The fireplace will automatically turn off after the set duration.

- Cleaning: Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
- Glass Panel: Clean the glass panel with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
- Air Vents: Periodically check and clean the air intake and exhaust vents to ensure they are free from dust and debris, which can impede airflow and heating efficiency.
- Storage: If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location.
7. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your fireplace, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Fireplace does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the main power switch on the unit is in the 'ON' position.
- Verify that the remote control batteries are not depleted.
- Heater stops working:
- The unit may have activated its auto-heat kill safety feature due to overheating. Unplug the fireplace and allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes before attempting to restart.
- Ensure air vents are not blocked.
- Remote control not responding:
- Replace the batteries in the remote control.
