3. Steam Functions

  • Continuous Steam: The iron provides a strong, continuous steam output of up to 180g/min, suitable for tackling various fabrics.
  • Steam Boost: For stubborn creases, press the steam boost button to activate a powerful shot of steam up to 750g. This is ideal for thicker fabrics.
  • Vertical Steaming: The lightweight iron design allows for effective vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, and delicate fabrics. Hold the iron vertically and press the steam button.

4. Safety Features

  • No Burns Guarantee: Thanks to ActiveSense technology, the iron is designed to prevent burns on all ironable garments.
  • Automatic Shut-off: For safety and energy saving, the iron automatically shuts off when left unattended for a period of time.
  • Safe Carry Lock: The iron can be securely locked to its base unit for safe and easy transport.

Maintenance

1. Easy De-Calc Plus System

The Easy De-Calc Plus system continuously collects limescale. An indicator light and audio signal will alert you when the system needs emptying. Follow the instructions in the quick start guide or on the Philips support website for the specific de-calc procedure.

2. Cleaning the Soleplate

To clean the SteamGlide Elite Soleplate, ensure the iron is cool and unplugged. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner if necessary. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or harsh chemicals.
