2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: To avoid electric shock, special precautions should be taken since aquarium equipment is used in conjunction with water.
- Always disconnect all appliances from the electrical supply before placing hands in water, performing maintenance, or handling the pump.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position the aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A "drip loop" should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The "drip loop" is the part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water from traveling along the cord and coming into contact with the receptacle.
- Never pull the cord to unplug the pump from the outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
- Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the weather or to temperatures below freezing.
- Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water during operation. Running dry can cause damage.
- This appliance is for household use only.

4. Product Features
The AquaMiracle Powerhead Pump WD1200 offers several features designed to enhance your aquarium's health and aesthetics:
- Water Circulation: Creates a strong underwater current, beneficial for active fish species and for moving waste towards filtration systems.
- Aeration: Includes an air tubing and venturi system to supplement oxygen levels in the aquarium water.
- Heat Distribution: Helps distribute heated water evenly throughout the tank, preventing "cold spots" and maintaining a stable temperature.
- Submersible Design: Fully submersible with an epoxy-sealed motor for safe and reliable operation.
- Energy Efficient: Designed with a permanent magnet rotor and a specially engineered impeller for efficient performance.

5. Setup Instructions
- Attach Suction Cups: Securely attach the provided suction cups to the pump locator on the back of the powerhead unit.
- Assemble Inlet Strainer: Connect the inlet strainer to the bottom intake of the pump. Ensure it is firmly attached to prevent debris from entering the impeller.
- Connect Air Tubing: Attach one end of the air tubing to the small nozzle on the side of the pump's outlet. Connect the adjustable air regulator to the other end of the air tubing.
- Position the Pump: Submerge the powerhead pump completely in your aquarium. Use the suction cups to firmly attach it to the inside wall of the tank. Position it in an area where you desire water circulation and aeration.
- Create Drip Loop: Arrange the power cord with a drip loop to prevent water from traveling along the cord to the electrical outlet.
- Plug In: Once the pump is securely installed and fully submerged, plug it into a grounded electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
Once installed and powered on, the pump will immediately begin circulating water. The aeration feature can be adjusted:
- Adjusting Aeration: The adjustable air regulator controls the amount of air drawn into the water. Rotate the regulator to increase or decrease the air intake, thereby adjusting the bubble intensity.
- Water Flow Direction: The pump's outlet can be rotated to direct the water flow as needed to optimize circulation within your aquarium.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your AquaMiracle Powerhead Pump:
- Cleaning the Impeller:
- Unplug the pump from the power outlet.
- Carefully remove the pump from the aquarium.
- Disassemble the inlet strainer and impeller cover.
- Remove the impeller and clean it thoroughly with a soft brush under running water to remove any debris or algae buildup.
- Clean the impeller housing and shaft.
- Reassemble all parts securely.
- Cleaning the Inlet Strainer: Periodically clean the inlet strainer to prevent clogging and maintain efficient water intake.
- Cleaning Air Tubing and Regulator: Ensure the air tubing and adjustable air regulator are free from blockages to allow proper air intake for aeration.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start or runs intermittently. | No power; Impeller jammed by debris; Impeller worn out. | Check power connection; Unplug and clean impeller and housing; Replace impeller if damaged. |
| Reduced water flow. | Clogged inlet strainer; Impeller dirty; Air tubing blocked. | Clean inlet strainer; Clean impeller; Clear air tubing and regulator. |
| Excessive noise or vibration. | Impeller dirty or damaged; Pump not securely mounted; Air intake too high. | Clean or replace impeller; Re-secure pump with suction cups; Adjust air regulator to reduce air intake. |
| No or weak aeration. | Air tubing or regulator blocked; Air intake nozzle submerged too deep. | Clear blockages in air tubing/regulator; Ensure air intake nozzle is above water level or at appropriate depth. |
