4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your robot vacuum's parts is crucial for maintaining its cleaning efficiency and extending the lifespan of the components.

4.1. Cleaning Frequency

  • Main Brush: It is recommended to clean the main brush frequently, ideally after every few cleaning cycles, to remove tangled hair and debris.
  • HEPA Filters: Clean filters regularly by tapping them over a trash can to dislodge dust. Avoid washing HEPA filters unless explicitly stated as washable.
  • Side Brushes: Check side brushes regularly for tangled hair or debris and clean as needed.

4.2. Replacement Frequency

To ensure your robot vacuum cleaner continues to run at high performance, it is recommended to change the brushes and filters every 2-3 months, depending on usage and household environment (e.g., pets, high traffic).

4.3. Tangle-Free Design

The main brush features a Tangle-Free Disk design, which simplifies daily maintenance. This design makes it convenient to remove hair and debris that may accumulate around the brush head, preventing tangles and ensuring smooth operation.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues after replacing parts, consider the following:

  • Reduced Suction: Ensure the HEPA filter is clean and correctly installed. A clogged filter can significantly reduce suction power.
  • Brush Not Spinning: Check if the main brush or side brushes are free of tangled hair or debris. Ensure they are properly seated and secured.
  • Unusual Noises: Inspect all brushes for any foreign objects or damage. Ensure all parts are installed correctly and securely.
  • Incomplete Cleaning: Verify that side brushes are intact and spinning correctly to sweep debris into the main brush path. Ensure the main brush is clean and rotating freely.

If problems persist, refer to your Neato Botvac D Series robot vacuum cleaner's original manual or contact Coodss customer support.
