1. Product Overview

You can use hundreds of K-Cup pod varieties or brew your own ground coffee with the My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter (sold separately).

2. Setup and First Use

Initial Setup:

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the coffee maker.
  2. Clean Reservoir: Wash the water reservoir and reservoir lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX fill line.
  4. Position Reservoir: Place the filled reservoir onto the coffee maker base. The dual-position design allows placement on either the side or rear of the brewer.
  5. Plug In: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded outlet. The power button will illuminate.

First Cleansing Brew:

Perform a cleansing brew to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness before your first beverage.

  1. Place a large mug (at least 12 oz) on the drip tray.
  2. Do not insert a K-Cup pod.
  3. Lift and lower the handle to close the K-Cup pod holder.
  4. Select the 12 oz brew size button. The cleansing brew will begin.
  5. Once complete, discard the hot water. The coffee maker is now ready for use.

3. Operating Instructions

Brewing with K-Cup Pods:

  1. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  2. Lift the handle and insert a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup pod holder.
  3. Lower the handle completely to close the lid.
  4. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz).
  5. For a stronger brew, press the STRONG button before selecting your brew size.
  6. For iced coffee, fill a large cup with ice, insert a K-Cup pod, and press the OVER ICE button before selecting your brew size.
  7. The brew will begin automatically.
  8. Once brewing is complete, lift the handle and dispose of the used K-Cup pod.

Easily insert a K-Cup pod for a quick and convenient single-serve brew.

Brewing with Ground Coffee (using My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter - sold separately):

  1. Remove the K-Cup pod holder from the brewer.
  2. Insert the My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter into the K-Cup pod holder.
  3. Fill the reusable filter with your desired amount of ground coffee (do not overfill).
  4. Place the assembled filter and holder back into the brewer.
  5. Lower the handle completely.
  6. Select your desired brew size.
  7. The brew will begin automatically.
  8. Once brewing is complete, remove and clean the reusable filter.

4. Maintenance

Cleaning:

  • External Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
  • Drip Tray: The drip tray can accumulate up to 8 ounces of overflow. It should be emptied and cleaned regularly. Remove the drip tray, discard contents, and wash with warm, soapy water.
  • K-Cup Pod Holder: The K-Cup pod holder can be removed for cleaning. Separate the funnel from the pod holder. Wash both parts with warm, soapy water.
  • Water Reservoir: Clean the water reservoir and lid periodically with warm, soapy water.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance. The DESCALING indicator light will illuminate when it's time to descale. Follow these steps:

  1. Prepare Solution: Turn off the coffee maker. Empty the water reservoir. Pour an entire bottle of Keurig Descaling Solution into the reservoir.
  2. First Descale Brew: Place a large mug on the drip tray. Lift and lower the handle. Select the 12 oz brew size. Repeat until the "ADD WATER" light illuminates.
  3. Soak: Let the coffee maker stand for at least 30 minutes while the descaling solution works.
  4. Rinse Brews: After soaking, empty and rinse the reservoir thoroughly. Fill the reservoir with fresh water. Perform 12 oz cleansing brews until the reservoir is empty.
  5. Repeat if Necessary: If the DESCALING light remains illuminated, repeat the descaling process.

5. Troubleshooting
