  • Audio Input (RCA): Connect external audio sources like CD players, TVs, or DVD players.
  • Speaker System (4Ω-16Ω): Connect passive speakers. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  • 12V Power Input (DC12V/5A): Alternative power input for 12V DC sources.
  • AC Power Input (AC~110V/60Hz): Standard power cord connection.
  • FM ANT: Connection for the FM radio antenna.

Setup

1. Speaker Connection

Connect your passive speakers to the Speaker System (4Ω-16Ω) terminals on the rear panel. Ensure the positive (+) terminal of the amplifier connects to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker, and the negative (-) terminal of the amplifier connects to the negative (-) terminal of the speaker. Incorrect polarity can result in poor sound quality.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided 110V power cord to the AC Power Input on the rear panel and then to a standard wall outlet. Alternatively, for 12V DC operation, connect a compatible 12V/5A power source to the 12V Power Input.

3. Antenna Connection

For FM radio reception, connect the included FM antenna to the FM ANT port on the rear panel. Extend the antenna fully for optimal signal reception.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

Warming Tips for Facmogu 298A amplifier

Image: Troubleshooting tips covering microphone hissing, remote control functionality, TV connection, and FM radio setup.

  • Hissing Sound from Mic Ports: If you experience a hissing sound from the microphone ports even when no music is playing, it may be due to magnetic interference from Condenser Microphones. We suggest using Dynamic Microphones instead, or placing a magnetic block to eliminate the hissing.
  • Remote Control: The remote control only operates certain functions. Ensure the plastic insulating sheet is removed from the battery compartment.
  • TV Connection: When connecting to your TV via an audio cable, ensure the input selector has been adjusted to the line mode for proper use.
  • FM Radio Setup: The FM chip memory is blank initially. To store stations, switch to FM mode, then press the pause button to search for channels. There will be noise during this process. Once completed, channels will be stored. There is currently no way to preset FM radio stations manually.
Information about Power Amp issues

Image: Troubleshooting guide for power amplifier related issues.

  • Bluetooth and Wired Connection Simultaneously: The Bluetooth function and wired connection cannot work at the same time. If you wish to use the amplifier via Bluetooth after a wired connection, restart the amplifier and then reconnect Bluetooth.
  • Recommended Speaker Wattage/Size: The rated power for the 298A Amp is 40Wx2. If the rated power of your speaker is much greater, there might be no sound output. If you push it too hard, you can overdrive the amp, leading to clipping and potential damage to both speakers and amplifier. Connect speakers with a rated power below 40W.
  • Power Amplifier Noise (Electric Current Sound): Inferior audio wire and input devices can cause noise. Speakers that do not match the amplifier's impedance can also lead to problems such as distortion. Ensure surrounding current signals do not cause interference. Make sure all cables are completely pushed in. Incompletely connected cables can create distortion. Ensure there is spacing between the output positive and negative audio lines; being too close together can cause noise or prevent channels from working.
Bluetooth Issues troubleshooting guide

Image: Troubleshooting steps for Bluetooth connectivity problems.

  • Bluetooth Not Working: Ensure the Bluetooth mode is turned on (display shows "BLUE"). If not, press the "MODE" button until "BLUE" appears. Then, turn on Bluetooth on your cellphone and connect to "BT-298A".
  • Unstable Bluetooth Connection: Ensure there are no obstacles (especially metals) blocking the signal. Turn off the power amplifier, disconnect and clear the Bluetooth connection from your transmitting device, and then try to reconnect. Keep the LED indicator side of the amplifier facing your phone and maintain a distance within 16.4ft/5m. For TV or PC devices, keep the distance within 6.5ft/2m.
  • Connecting Two Devices with Bluetooth: No, connecting two devices at the same time will cause the audio stream to be disrupted. It can only be disconnected from one and then connected to another device.
