1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EEMB LP9V 9V Lithium-ion Battery Charger. This charger is designed to safely and efficiently recharge EEMB 6F22 9V Lithium-ion batteries. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and to prevent damage.

2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation, please observe the following precautions:

  • This charger is designed exclusively for EEMB 6F22 9V Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. Do not attempt to charge other types of batteries (e.g., NiMH, NiCd, Alkaline, or other voltage Lithium batteries) as this may cause damage to the charger, batteries, or result in fire or explosion.
  • Use the charger indoors only. Avoid exposure to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to repair the charger. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Ensure proper ventilation during charging. Do not cover the charger.
  • Unplug the charger from the power outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
  • Do not mix charge different specifications or capacities of batteries.

3. Package Contents

The package includes:

  • 1 x EEMB LP9V 9V Lithium-ion Battery Charger

Note: 9V Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are sold separately.

4. Product Features

  • Independent Charging Channels: Four independent charging bays allow for simultaneous charging of one to four 9V Lithium-ion batteries.
  • LED Indicators: Each charging channel has an independent LED light to indicate charging status. Light on indicates charging, light off indicates fully charged.

5. Setup and Operation

5.1 Inserting Batteries

  1. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on your EEMB 9V Lithium-ion battery and the corresponding charging interface on the charger.
  2. Carefully align the battery with the charging interface. Insert the battery slowly into the charging bay until it is fully seated. Ensure a secure connection.

5.2 Charging Process

  1. After inserting the battery(ies), unfold the charger's AC plug and connect the charger to a standard 100-240V AC wall outlet.
  2. The charging indicator light for each inserted battery will turn on, indicating that charging has commenced.
  3. When a battery is fully charged, its corresponding LED indicator light will turn off.
  4. Once all batteries are fully charged (all lights off), unplug the charger from the wall outlet and remove the batteries.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EEMB LP9V charger, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Charger not powering on:
    • Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a live wall outlet.
    • Verify the wall outlet is functioning by plugging in another device.
  • Battery not charging (LED not lighting up):
    • Confirm that the battery is an EEMB 6F22 9V Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. This charger is not compatible with other battery types.
    • Ensure the battery is correctly inserted into the charging bay with proper polarity.
    • Check if the battery is severely over-discharged. Some deeply discharged batteries may take longer to initiate charging or may not be recoverable.
    • Try charging a different compatible battery to isolate the issue to the battery or the charger.
  • Slow charging:
    • Charging time can vary based on the battery's remaining capacity and overall health.
    • Ensure the charger is not covered, allowing for proper heat dissipation.
  • Overheating:
    • If the charger or batteries become excessively hot during charging, immediately unplug the charger and remove the batteries. Allow them to cool down.
    • Ensure adequate ventilation around the charger.
    • Do not charge damaged or swollen batteries.

9. Maintenance

  • Keep the charger clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Regularly inspect the charger for any signs of damage, such as cracks in the casing or bent pins. Do not use a damaged charger.
