4. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to install your new water filter:
- Prepare the Filter: Fully immerse the new water filter in water for 5 to 10 minutes before use. Gently squeeze the filter to release any trapped air bubbles. This priming step ensures optimal filtering performance.
- Set Replacement Date: Locate the monthly tracker dial on the top of the filter. Rotate the dial to set the current month. This helps you remember when the next replacement is due (recommended every 3 months).
- Remove Old Filter: Carefully remove the water tank from your espresso machine. Locate the old filter within its holder and remove it. Dispose of the old filter responsibly.
- Assemble Filter Holder: If your filter holder is disassembled, reassemble it. Ensure all parts are securely connected.
- Insert New Filter: Place the primed new filter into the filter holder. Ensure it fits snugly and is correctly oriented.
- Install in Water Tank: Insert the filter holder with the new filter into the designated slot in the espresso machine's water tank. Push down firmly to secure it in place.
- Refill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh water and reattach it to your espresso machine.

5. Maintenance and Replacement Schedule
For optimal performance and to ensure the longevity of your espresso machine, it is recommended to replace the water filter every 3 months or after approximately 10.6 gallons of water usage. The monthly tracker dial on the filter assists in monitoring the replacement schedule.
