4. Setup and Assembly

The Bonrcea Wooden Baby Playpen is designed for quick and easy assembly, typically taking less than 15 minutes. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all panels, connectors, screws, and non-slip stickers from the packaging.
  2. Arrange Panels: Lay out the wooden panels in your desired configuration. The playpen includes eight panels: two 23.7-inch panels, four 39.5-inch panels, one 35.5-inch panel, and one 35.5-inch door panel. The panels can be arranged in various shapes (e.g., rectangle, square, octagon) by adding or subtracting panels as needed.
  3. Attach Connectors: Use the blue connectors to join the panels. Each connector slides onto the ends of two adjacent panels. Ensure the panels are fully inserted into the connectors.
  4. Secure with Screws: Once panels are connected, use the provided screws to secure the connectors to the wooden panels. This ensures stability and prevents accidental disassembly.
  5. Install Non-slip Stickers: Apply the non-slip stickers to the bottom of the playpen's base to prevent it from sliding on smooth surfaces.
  6. Test Stability: Gently push and pull on the assembled playpen to ensure all connections are secure and the structure is stable.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and safety of your Bonrcea Wooden Baby Playpen.

Cleaning:

  • Wipe down wooden surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the wood finish.
  • Ensure the playpen is completely dry before allowing a child back inside.
  • The natural pine wood is polished for a smooth finish, making it easy to clean.

Inspection:

  • Periodically check all connectors and screws to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Inspect wooden panels for any signs of wear, splintering, or damage. Discontinue use if significant damage is found.
  • Ensure non-slip stickers are still firmly attached to the base.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your playpen, refer to the following common solutions:

Playpen is unstable or wobbly:

  • Ensure all blue connectors are fully engaged and secured with screws.
  • Verify that the non-slip stickers are properly applied to the bottom of the panels.
  • Check that the playpen is assembled on a flat, even surface.

Gate is difficult to open/close:

  • Ensure no obstructions are blocking the gate mechanism.
  • Confirm that the gate panel is correctly aligned within its connectors.
  • Apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to the moving parts if necessary.

Panels do not align correctly during assembly:

  • Some panels may have a different number of dowels (e.g., 9 vs. 10). Ensure you are using the correct panels for each section as intended by the design to avoid unevenness. Refer to the assembly video or diagrams for guidance.
  • Double-check that panels are inserted into connectors in the correct orientation.
