5. Installation
Follow these steps for a successful installation. A 120V GFCI outlet is required near the toilet. Recommended minimum clearance to the toilet tank from mounting bolts is 40-50mm for flat back toilet bowls.
- Remove the Existing Seat: Carefully remove your current toilet seat and lid.
- Fix the Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket onto the toilet bowl using the provided bolts and rubber bushings. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Slide the Bidet Seat: Align the BidetMate seat with the mounting bracket and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
- Connect the Water Line: Turn off the water supply to your toilet. Disconnect the existing water supply hose from the toilet tank. Install the T-valve connector to the toilet tank's fill valve. Connect the existing water supply hose to one end of the T-valve and the new bidet supply hose to the other.
- Connect Power: Plug the bidet's integrated 47-inch power cord into a grounded 120V GFCI outlet.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the water supply to the toilet and check for any leaks.
