4. Setup

4.1 Setting the Combination Lock

Your TENAMIC Pistol Safe features a resettable 3-digit combination lock. Follow these steps to set your personal code:

  1. Keep the dials set to the factory default code (0-0-0) and turn the knob clockwise to open the lock box.
  2. Locate the lock slot inside the safe. Move the lock slot from position "A" to position "B" to initiate the code reset process.
  3. Set the dials to your desired 3-digit combination. Ensure all numbers are centered in the display.
  4. Return the lock slot from position "B" to position "A" to save your new code.

Important: Remember your new combination. There is no master key or override for the combination lock once it is set. Test your new combination several times with the safe open before closing it.

4.2 Securing the Safe with the Steel Cable

The included heavy steel cable allows you to tether the safe to a fixed object, providing additional security against theft. This is particularly useful in vehicles or when traveling.

  1. Loop the steel cable around a secure, immovable object (e.g., a car seat frame, a bed frame, or a heavy piece of furniture).
  2. Feed one end of the cable through the loop at the other end.
  3. Insert the free end of the cable into the designated cable slot on the side of the safe.
  4. Close and lock the safe. The cable will be secured once the safe is locked.

  • Internal Foam: The protective foam can be removed and cleaned with a mild soap solution if necessary. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back into the safe.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Safe Will Not Open

  • Incorrect Combination: Double-check that you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. Ensure each number is precisely aligned in the center of the display.
  • Knob Not Turning: After entering the correct combination, ensure the knob is turned fully clockwise. If it feels stiff, apply gentle, consistent pressure.
  • Internal Mechanism Jammed: If the safe has been dropped or subjected to impact, the internal mechanism might be misaligned. Contact customer support if the issue persists.

7.2 Combination Forgotten

If you have forgotten your combination, unfortunately, there is no master key or reset button for this model. The safe will need to be opened by a professional locksmith or replaced. Always store your combination in a secure, memorable location separate from the safe.
