Operating Instructions
The KYEKIO Solar Torch Lights are designed for automatic operation:
- Automatic On/Off: Once the internal switch is set to "ON" and the lights have received an initial charge, they will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, thanks to the integrated photosensitive control switch on the solar panel.
- Charging: The solar panel converts sunlight into electricity, which is stored in the rechargeable battery during the day. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging.
- Illumination Time: After a full charge, the lights can illuminate for approximately 6-8 hours in summer and 4-6 hours in winter. Actual illumination time may vary based on geographical location, weather conditions, and seasonal sunlight availability.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your solar torch lights, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Clean Solar Panels: Regularly wipe the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures maximum charging efficiency.
- Optimal Placement: Ensure the lights are placed in an area that receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid shaded areas or locations where artificial light sources might interfere with the dusk-to-dawn sensor.
- Battery Care: The included Ni-MH rechargeable battery is designed for long life. If the light duration significantly decreases over time, consider replacing the battery with a new AA Ni-MH rechargeable battery.
- Seasonal Storage: If storing the lights for an extended period, ensure they are fully charged and turn the switch to the "OFF" position. Store them in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your solar torch lights, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Light Does Not Turn On:
- Ensure the internal switch is in the "ON" position.
- Verify the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
- Confirm the light receives sufficient direct sunlight for charging (at least 6-8 hours).
- Check if the battery is properly installed and charged.
- Short Illumination Time:
- The solar panel may not be receiving enough direct sunlight. Relocate the light to a sunnier spot.
- The solar panel might be dirty; clean it as per maintenance instructions.
- Battery capacity may have degraded over time. Consider replacing the rechargeable battery.
- Flickering or Dim Light:
- This usually indicates a low battery charge. Allow the light to charge for a full day in direct sunlight.
- Ensure connections are secure and free from corrosion.
