5. Operating Instructions

Before starting, ensure all safety precautions are observed and the correct attachment is securely installed.

5.1. Starting the Engine

  1. Place the tool on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Set the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
  3. Engage the choke (if cold start).
  4. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
  5. Pull the starter cord firmly until the engine fires (may take several pulls).
  6. Disengage the choke once the engine starts and runs smoothly.
  7. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

5.2. Using the Attachments

  • Grass Trimmer: Use a sweeping motion to cut grass. Keep the line head parallel to the ground.
  • Brush Cutter: Use the appropriate blade for the vegetation type. Work in controlled passes, avoiding direct contact with hard objects.
  • Hedge Trimmer: Maintain a steady pace, cutting small amounts at a time. Avoid cutting thick branches that exceed the blade capacity.
  • Chainsaw: Support the branch being cut. Use caution to avoid kickback. Ensure the chain is sharp and lubricated.

5.3. Stopping the Engine

Release the throttle and allow the engine to idle briefly. Then, move the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your multitool.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tool, especially the cutting attachments, of debris, grass, and sap.
  • Air Filter: Clean the air filter regularly (every 5-10 hours of operation) or replace if damaged.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
  • Fuel Filter: Check and replace the fuel filter annually or if fuel flow is restricted.
  • Blades/Chain: Sharpen or replace blades and chainsaw chains as needed. Ensure proper tension for the chainsaw chain.
  • Lubrication: Lubricate gears and moving parts of attachments as specified in their individual sections.
  • Storage: When storing for extended periods, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer. Clean the tool thoroughly and store in a dry, secure location.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Engine does not start No fuel, incorrect fuel mix, spark plug issue, clogged fuel filter, choke setting. Check fuel level and mix. Inspect/clean spark plug. Check fuel filter. Adjust choke.
Engine runs poorly/lacks power Dirty air filter, incorrect fuel mix, spark plug issue, carburetor adjustment. Clean air filter. Verify fuel mix. Inspect spark plug. Consult service for carburetor.
Attachment not cutting effectively Dull blade/chain, incorrect attachment, debris buildup. Sharpen/replace blade/chain. Ensure correct attachment for task. Clean debris.
Excessive vibration Loose parts, unbalanced blade, bent shaft. Check all fasteners. Inspect blade for damage. If shaft is bent, seek professional service.
