2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Component Check

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the following items:

2.2 Assembling the Stand

2.5 Headphone Connection

For private practice, connect standard stereo headphones to the PHONES/OUTPUT jack on the rear panel. This will mute the internal speakers.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Press the [POWER] button located on the top panel to turn the digital piano on. Press and hold the [POWER] button for a few seconds to turn it off.

3.2 Selecting Tones

The CDP-S150 features 10 built-in tones. To select a tone:

  2. While holding [FUNCTION], press one of the keys labeled with a tone name (e.g., GRAND PIANO, ELECTRIC PIANO, STRINGS). The selected tone will sound.

  • Press the [METRONOME] button to start or stop the metronome.

3.5 One-Button Recorder

The CDP-S150 allows you to record and play back your performances.

  1. Press the [REC] button to start recording. The indicator will light up.
  2. Play your performance.
  3. Press [REC] again to stop recording.
  4. Press the [PLAY] button to listen to your recorded performance.

3.6 Duet Mode

Duet Mode splits the keyboard into two identical pitch ranges, allowing two players to sit side-by-side and play in the same octave range. To activate Duet Mode, press [FUNCTION] and the key designated for Duet Mode.

3.7 Connecting to Chordana Play for Piano App

Enhance your experience by connecting your CDP-S150 to the free Chordana Play for Piano app on your iOS or Android device. This app allows you to control piano functions, view scores, and learn to play MIDI songs.

  • Download the Chordana Play for Piano app from your device's app store.
  • Connect your smart device to the digital piano using a compatible USB cable (not included).
  • Follow the instructions within the app to establish a connection and begin using its features.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Unit

To maintain the appearance of your digital piano:

  • Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. A polishing cloth (if included in your bundle) is ideal for this purpose.
  • For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a mild, neutral detergent, then wipe dry immediately.
