Operating Instructions

Your Bissell MultiClean Allergen Pet Upright Vacuum is designed for ease of use across various floor types.

General Operation:

  1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the power button located on the handle to turn on the vacuum.
  2. Adjust Floor Type: Use the foot pedal or switch (if applicable) to select the appropriate setting for your floor type (e.g., hard floor, low pile carpet, plush carpet).
  3. Vacuuming: Push the vacuum forward and pull it back slowly over the area to be cleaned. For heavily soiled areas, repeat the motion.
  4. Using Attachments: For above-floor cleaning, detach the wand or hose and attach the desired pet tool. Ensure the main brush roll is disengaged when using attachments to prevent damage to floors.

Cleaning Filters:

The HEPA Sealed Allergen System includes filters that require periodic cleaning to maintain suction and allergen trapping efficiency.

  • Pre-Motor Filter: Located inside the dirt tank. Remove and tap clean over a trash bin. Rinse with water if necessary and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
  • Post-Motor HEPA Filter: Located near the exhaust. Refer to your user guide for specific removal and cleaning instructions. This filter is typically not washable and should be replaced periodically.

Brush Roll Inspection:

Periodically check the Tangle-Free Brush Roll for any debris or hair that may have accumulated, although its design minimizes this issue. Remove any obstructions to ensure proper rotation.
