Setup Guide

Follow these steps to assemble your Bissell MultiClean Allergen Pet Upright Vacuum:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.
2. Attach Handle: Insert the handle into the main body of the vacuum until it clicks securely into place.
3. Connect Hose: Attach the flexible hose to the hose inlet on the back of the vacuum. Ensure it is firmly connected to prevent loss of suction.
4. Attach Tools: Securely store the included pet tools onto their designated storage spots on the vacuum.
5. Check Dust Tank: Ensure the One Touch Easy Empty dirt tank is properly seated and locked into position before first use.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the power button located on the handle to turn on the vacuum.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your vacuum.

Emptying the Dirt Tank:

Empty the dirt tank when debris reaches the "FULL" line or after each use, especially when vacuuming pet hair.

1. Remove Tank: Press the One Touch Easy Empty button to release the dirt tank from the vacuum.
2. Empty Contents: Hold the tank over a trash bin and press the release button on the bottom to open the flap and empty debris.
3. Reattach Tank: Close the bottom flap and reattach the tank to the vacuum until it clicks securely.

Cleaning Filters:

The HEPA Sealed Allergen System includes filters that require periodic cleaning to maintain suction and allergen trapping efficiency.

• Pre-Motor Filter: Located inside the dirt tank. Remove and tap clean over a trash bin. Rinse with water if necessary and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
• Post-Motor HEPA Filter: Located near the exhaust. Refer to your user guide for specific removal and cleaning instructions. This filter is typically not washable and should be replaced periodically.

Brush Roll Inspection:

Periodically check the Tangle-Free Brush Roll for any debris or hair that may have accumulated, although its design minimizes this issue. Remove any obstructions to ensure proper rotation.
