2. Setup

2.1 Power Connection

Connect the supplied AC/DC power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the radio and then plug it into a wall outlet. The radio will power on automatically or enter standby mode.

2.2 Initial Setup (Network & Time)

1. Upon first power-on, the radio will guide you through the initial setup wizard.
2. Select your preferred language.
3. Network Setup: The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your home network from the list and enter the password using the navigation controls and display.

For optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located at the back of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal quality.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Controls

The radio features intuitive controls on its front panel, including a color display, navigation buttons, and rotary knobs for tuning and volume.

3.2 Internet Radio

Access thousands of internet radio stations from around the world.

1. From the main menu, select "Internet Radio".
2. Browse stations by location, genre, or search for specific stations.
3. Select a station to begin playback.

3.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

Stream audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled device.

1. Select "Bluetooth" from the main menu. The radio will enter pairing mode.
2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for "Philips R8805/10".
3. Select the radio to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.

3.4 Spotify Connect

Enjoy direct streaming from your Spotify account.

3.5 DAB+ Radio

3.8 USB Charging

Charge other devices via the USB port.

• Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB port on the back of the radio.
• The radio provides power for charging, even when in standby mode.

3.9 Setting Alarms

The radio features dual alarms to wake you up.

1. Access the "Alarm" settings from the main menu.
2. Select Alarm 1 or Alarm 2.
3. Set the alarm time, source (buzzer, FM, DAB+, Internet Radio), volume, and recurrence (daily, weekdays, weekends, once).
4. Ensure the alarm is enabled.

3.10 Sleep Timer

Fall asleep to music with the sleep timer function.

1. Press the "Sleep" button (if available) or navigate to the "Sleep Timer" option in the menu.
2. Select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90 minutes). The radio will automatically switch to standby after the set time.
