The Logilink ET0012 is a convenient and easy-to-use mechanical timer designed for indoor use. It features a twilight sensor and offers 7 different operating modes, eliminating the need for complex programming. Once configured, the device automatically controls the power supply to connected appliances based on ambient brightness and your selected mode.

Setup

Setting up your Logilink ET0012 timer is straightforward:

Unpacking: Carefully remove the timer from its packaging. Inspect the device for any signs of damage.
Placement: Choose an indoor wall socket that is easily accessible and not obstructed. Ensure the area around the twilight sensor (small clear dome on the top of the timer) is not covered, as this will affect its functionality.
Plug In: Insert the Logilink ET0012 timer into a standard 230 VAC, 50 Hz wall socket.
Connect Appliance: Plug the appliance you wish to control into the socket on the front of the timer. Ensure the appliance is switched ON if it has its own power switch.

Operating Instructions

The ET0012 timer features a rotary dial for selecting its operating mode. The red indicator light signifies power, and the clear dome is the twilight sensor.

Mode Selection

Rotate the dial to select one of the 7 available modes:

ON: The connected appliance will remain continuously ON, regardless of brightness.
OFF: The connected appliance will remain continuously OFF.
Twilight (Symbol: Sun/Moon): The connected appliance will turn ON automatically when it gets dark (dusk) and remain ON until it gets light (dawn).
2Hr / 4Hr / 6Hr / 8Hr (Timed Twilight Modes): The connected appliance will turn ON automatically at dusk and then turn OFF after the selected duration (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours). This allows you to control how long your lighting stays on in the evening.

To change the mode, simply rotate the dial to the desired setting. The timer will immediately adjust its operation according to the new selection.

Maintenance

The Logilink ET0012 timer requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-lasting performance:

Cleaning: Disconnect the timer from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials.
Storage: If storing the timer for an extended period, ensure it is kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If any damage is observed, discontinue use and contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Logilink ET0012 timer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Appliance does not turn ON/OFF.	Timer not plugged in correctly. Appliance not plugged into timer correctly. Appliance's own power switch is OFF. Incorrect mode selected. Power outage. Timer makes a clicking sound.	Normal operation.	This is normal for mechanical timers as internal components engage. No action required.
