Gdrasuya10 24" Portable Acrylic Plastic PVC Bending Machine Instruction Manual

Model: HG-WMTZXL-1561-US-Jane

1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of your Gdrasuya10 24" Portable Acrylic Plastic PVC Bending Machine. This device is designed for hot bending various plastic sheets, including acrylic, organic board, and PVC, with thicknesses typically up to 6mm. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use to ensure proper setup and to prevent damage or injury.

2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, and serious injury:

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the machine's requirements (110V). Do not operate with wet hands or in damp conditions. Always unplug the machine when not in use or before cleaning.
  • Heat Hazard: The heating element becomes extremely hot during operation. Avoid direct contact with the heating element and heated materials. Use heat-resistant gloves if necessary.
  • Ventilation: Operate the machine in a well-ventilated area to dissipate any fumes produced during plastic heating.
  • Water Circulation: The water circulation cooling system is crucial for safe operation. Ensure it is properly set up and functioning before turning on the heater. Never operate the heater without adequate water circulation.
  • Material Compatibility: Only use the machine for bending specified thermoplastic materials like acrylic, PVC, and organic board. Using incompatible materials may produce hazardous fumes or damage the machine.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the operating area.
  • Stable Surface: Place the machine on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all items are present and in good condition:

  • Bending Machine Heater (60cm / 24 inches)
  • Water Pump
  • Thermostat / Temperature Controller
  • Silicone Tubes (for water circulation)
  • Water Thermometer

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Positioning: Place the bending machine heater on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant workbench. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for safe operation and material handling.
  2. Water Circulation System Assembly:
    • Connect one end of the silicone tubes to the water inlet and outlet ports on the bending machine heater.
    • Connect the other ends of the silicone tubes to the water pump. Ensure a secure fit to prevent leaks.
    • Place the water pump into a container filled with clean water. The water level should be sufficient to fully submerge the pump and allow for continuous circulation.
    • Insert the water thermometer into the water container to monitor the cooling water temperature.

  3. Electrical Connection:
    • Connect the thermostat/temperature controller to the bending machine heater.
    • Plug the water pump into a suitable power outlet.
    • Plug the thermostat/temperature controller into a suitable 110V power outlet.

Important: Always ensure the water pump is running and water is circulating before activating the heating element. Hydropower separation is designed for safety; ensure connections are firm.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Turn on the water pump first to initiate water circulation. Then, turn on the power to the bending machine heater via the thermostat.
  2. Temperature Adjustment: Use the knob on the thermostat to adjust the heating temperature. Start with a lower temperature and gradually increase it as needed for your specific material thickness and type. Monitor the material's softening.
  3. Material Placement: Place the plastic sheet directly over the heating element, aligning the desired bending line with the heater strip. Ensure the material is flat and evenly exposed to the heat.
  4. Heating Process: Allow the material to heat and soften. The heating time will vary depending on the material type, thickness (1mm-6mm), and desired bend. For thicker materials, slotting the bending line can result in a cleaner bend.
  5. Bending: Once the material is sufficiently soft and pliable along the heating line, carefully remove it from the heater. Immediately bend the material to the desired angle using appropriate tools or a bending jig. Hold the bend in place until the material cools and sets.
  6. Cooling: For optimal results, allow the bent material to cool completely before handling or applying stress.
  7. Power Off: After use, turn off the heating element first. Allow the water pump to continue running for a few minutes to cool down the system before turning off the pump and unplugging all components.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Ensure the machine is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Wipe down the heating element and surrounding areas with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Water System: Regularly check the water in the cooling container for cleanliness. Replace with fresh water as needed to prevent algae buildup or blockages in the pump and tubes.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Heater not turning onNo power, loose connection, thermostat offCheck power cord, ensure thermostat is on and set correctly.
Material not bendingInsufficient heat, too short heating time, material too thickIncrease temperature, extend heating time, consider slotting for thicker materials.
Water pump not circulatingNo power, pump not submerged, blockageCheck pump power, ensure pump is fully submerged, clear any blockages.
Uneven heatingMaterial not flat, inconsistent contact with heaterEnsure material is flat and evenly placed over the heating element.
