1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the RPNB Deluxe Safe and Lock Box. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new safe. Designed with reinforced solid steel and a digital keypad, this safe offers reliable protection for your valuables.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) to power the digital keypad. Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door, usually behind a cover on the electronic lock mechanism.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). You will hear a short beep if inserted correctly.
4. Replace the battery cover securely.

2.2 Initial Opening (Using Backup Key)

For the first-time opening or if the batteries are dead, use the provided backup keys.

1. Locate the hidden keyhole, typically behind the RPNB logo or a small removable panel on the keypad.
2. Gently remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
3. Insert the backup key and turn it counter-clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
4. Keep backup keys in a secure location outside the safe.

2.3 Mounting the Safe

The safe features pre-drilled holes for secure mounting to a wall or floor. Mounting hardware is included.

• Choose a secure and discreet location for installation.
• Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the safe through the pre-drilled holes in the back or bottom.
• Ensure the safe is firmly attached to a solid surface (e.g., wall studs, concrete floor) to prevent unauthorized removal.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Programming Your Digital Code

The factory default code is 1-5-9. It is highly recommended to change this immediately.

1. With the safe door open, locate the red "PROGRAM" button on the inside of the safe door (usually on the battery compartment cover).
2. Press the "PROGRAM" button once and release it. The green light on the keypad will light up once with one beep.
3. Enter your NEW 3 to 8 digit code.
4. Press the confirming button (✓) to save your new code. The green light will flash twice with two beeps, confirming successful programming.
5. Test your new code with the safe door open to ensure it works correctly before closing.

3.2 Opening the Safe with Digital Code

1. Enter your programmed 3 to 8 digit code.
2. Press the confirming button (✓). The green light will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

3.3 Closing and Locking the Safe

Close the safe door and turn the knob counter-clockwise to lock it. The safe will automatically lock once the knob is turned.

3.4 Silent Mode

To set the safe to silent mode (no beeps when pressing keys):

• Press the "Voice Button" (usually marked with a speaker icon or '0'). The green light will light up once.
• To reactivate sound, press the "Voice Button" again.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

When the yellow light on the keypad illuminates, it indicates low battery power. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

4.2 Cleaning

Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.

4.3 Storage

Store backup keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.
