Setup
1. Connection Modes
- Wired Mode: Ensure the switch on the back of the keyboard is set to "OFF" and connect the USB-C cable to your device.
- Bluetooth Mode: Set the switch on the back of the keyboard to "ON" and disconnect the USB-C cable.
- 2.4Ghz Wireless Mode: Insert the 2.4Ghz dongle into your device. The keyboard will automatically connect.

2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Turn the keyboard switch to "ON" (Bluetooth mode).
- Long-press FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E to activate Bluetooth pairing mode for one of the three available channels. The corresponding key (Q, W, or E) will flicker, indicating it's ready to pair.
- On your device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), search for Bluetooth devices and select "RK61" to connect.
- The backlit key will stop flickering once pairing is complete.
3. Hot-Swappable Switches
The RK61 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily replace 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches without the need for soldering. This enables users to customize the typing feel and sound of their keyboard. Use the included switch puller tool to carefully remove and insert switches.

Operating Instructions
1. Key Functions
- Switch Arrow Key Function: Press FN + Enter to toggle between standard arrow keys and other functions assigned to the bottom right keys.
- Switch Secondary 6 Functional Keys: Press FN + Left Ctrl to access secondary functions on the top row (F1-F12).
- Typing "?": When arrow key function is disabled, press FN + Right SHIFT + /(?) or simply Left SHIFT + /(?).
2. Backlight Control
The RK61 features 17 dynamic single-color backlight modes. Use FN + \ to cycle through different modes. Adjust brightness and glowing speed using dedicated key combinations (refer to the keyboard's keycap legends for specific controls).
3. Multi-Device Switching
The keyboard can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Once paired, press FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E to quickly switch between your connected devices.

4. Customization Software

Maintenance
1. General Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your keyboard. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keycaps and chassis. For deeper cleaning, you may use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys.
2. Keycap Care
The RK61 comes with ABS Double Shot Keycaps. If you wish to clean or replace keycaps, use the provided keycap puller tool to gently remove them. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the keycaps or switches.
3. Battery Charging Indicators
When charging, the spacebar backlight will flash 3 times. Once the keyboard is fully charged, the spacebar backlight will flash 5 times.
Troubleshooting
- Keys Not Registering: If some keys occasionally do not register, try pressing FN + Enter to reset the key function layer. If the issue persists, ensure the keyboard is properly connected in wired mode or re-pair in Bluetooth/2.4Ghz mode.
- Connectivity Issues:
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode (switch "ON") and within range of your device. Re-initiate pairing if necessary.
- For 2.4Ghz wireless, ensure the dongle is securely inserted and the keyboard is in 2.4Ghz mode.
- For wired mode, check the USB-C cable connection and ensure the keyboard switch is "OFF".
- Backlight Not Working/Adjusting: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Use FN + \ to cycle through different modes and other FN key combinations (as indicated on keycaps) to adjust brightness and speed.
- Keyboard Not Responding: Try turning the keyboard off and on again. If using wireless modes, ensure the battery is charged. Connect via USB-C cable to rule out wireless connectivity issues.
