3.1. Timer Components

4. Setup
4.1. Initial Power-Up and Charging
Before first use, plug the timer into a standard 120V AC wall outlet for at least 30 minutes to charge the internal battery. This battery retains your settings during power outages or when the timer is unplugged.
4.2. Resetting the Timer
If the display is abnormal or you wish to clear all previous settings, use a pointed object (e.g., a pen tip) to press the recessed RESET button. The display will show "0:00" and all settings will be cleared.
4.3. Setting Current Time and Day
- Press the SET button once. The hour digit will flash.
- Use the HOUR button to adjust the current hour. Pay attention to AM/PM indicator.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Selecting Timer (TIMER1 / TIMER2)
The NEARPOW timer features two independently controlled outlets. Press the SELECT button to switch between TIMER1 and TIMER2. The active timer will be indicated on the LCD display. All programming steps below apply to the currently selected timer.

5.2. Programming ON/OFF Times (Up to 9 Programs per Timer)
You can set up to 9 ON/OFF programs for each of the two timers (TIMER1 and TIMER2), totaling 18 programs. Each program consists of an ON time, an OFF time, and selected days of the week.
- Ensure the desired timer (TIMER1 or TIMER2) is selected using the SELECT button.
- Press the SET button repeatedly until "1 ON" appears on the display. This is for the first ON program.
- Use WEEK to select the desired day(s) for this program. Options include individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all 7 days.
- Use HOUR, MINUTE, and SECOND to set the desired ON time.
- Press SET again. "1 OFF" will appear.
- Use WEEK to select the desired day(s) for this OFF program (usually matching the ON program).
- Use HOUR, MINUTE, and SECOND to set the desired OFF time.
- Press SET to advance to the next program ("2 ON") or CONFIRM to save and exit programming mode.
- Repeat steps for additional programs (up to 9 ON/OFF pairs).
5.3. Operating Modes
Press the MODE button to cycle through the available operating modes:
- AUTO: The outlet operates according to the programmed ON/OFF schedules. This is the standard operating mode for automated control.
- ON: The outlet is continuously ON, overriding all programmed schedules.
- OFF: The outlet is continuously OFF, overriding all programmed schedules.
- COUNTDOWN: Sets a specific duration after which the outlet will turn ON or OFF.
- In COUNTDOWN mode, press SET.
- Use HOUR, MINUTE, SECOND to set the countdown duration.
- Press CONFIRM to start the countdown. The outlet will change state (ON to OFF or OFF to ON) after the set time.
- TIMING CYCLE (Interval Circulation): Allows the outlet to cycle ON and OFF repeatedly for set durations.
- In TIMING CYCLE mode, press SET.
- Set the ON duration using HOUR, MINUTE, SECOND. Press SET.
- Set the OFF duration using HOUR, MINUTE, SECOND. Press CONFIRM to start the cycle.
- RANDOM: When activated (by pressing the RANDOM button), this mode will randomly turn the outlet ON and OFF within a specific time window (e.g., 6 PM to 6 AM) to simulate occupancy, typically for security purposes. This function works in conjunction with programmed ON/OFF times.

5.4. Child Lock Function
To prevent accidental changes to settings, the timer includes a child lock function. To activate/deactivate, press and hold the CONFIRM button for 3 seconds. A lock icon will appear/disappear on the display.
6. Maintenance
- Unplug the timer from the wall outlet before cleaning.
- Wipe the timer with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Store the timer in a cool, dry place when not in use.
