  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves during assembly and installation.
  • Two people are recommended for assembly and installation due to the size and weight of the door panels.

  2. Lay out the boards on a clean, flat, and protected surface.

4.2. Hardware Track Installation

  1. Determine the desired height for the track. The track should be installed at a height that allows the door to clear the floor by approximately 1/2 inch.
  2. Locate wall studs above the door opening. It is crucial to mount the track into studs for secure installation. If studs do not align with the track holes, a header board (not included) must be installed across the studs to provide a solid mounting surface.
  3. Mark the drilling points for the track on the wall. Use a level to ensure the track is perfectly horizontal.
  4. Drill pilot holes at the marked points.
  5. Attach the hardware track to the wall using the provided lag screws and spacers. Ensure the track is firmly secured.

4.3. Door Hanger and Stopper Installation

  1. Attach the hangers to the top edge of the assembled door panels using the provided bolts.
  2. Carefully lift the door panels and hang the rollers onto the installed track.
  3. Install the track stoppers at both ends of the track to prevent the doors from rolling off. Adjust their position to control the door's travel range.
  4. Install the floor guides to prevent the bottom of the door from swinging out. Position them to allow smooth sliding.

5. Operating Instructions

To operate your ISLIFE K Series Sliding Barn Door, simply grasp the handle and gently slide the door along the track. The rollers are designed for smooth and quiet operation. Ensure the path of the door is clear of obstructions before sliding.

  • Opening the Door: Pull the door panel towards the open position until it reaches the desired point or the track stopper.
  • Closing the Door: Push the door panel towards the closed position until it meets the other panel (for double doors) or the door frame.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the door panels and hardware with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws and fasteners on the track and door hangers to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Track Lubrication: If the door begins to stick or becomes difficult to slide, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the track and rollers. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and debris.
  • Wood Care: The solid wood is finished, but extreme temperature or humidity changes can affect wood products. Maintain a stable indoor environment to prevent warping or cracking.
