5. Installation (Setup)

5.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure you have all necessary tools: safety glasses, gloves, tape measure, pencil, jigsaw, drill, silicone sealant, mounting clips, and a level.
  • Confirm the cabinet opening size is appropriate for the sink dimensions.

5.2 Countertop Cutout

  1. Place the provided template on the underside of your countertop in the desired sink location.
  2. Trace the outline of the template onto the countertop.
  3. Carefully cut along the traced line using a jigsaw or appropriate cutting tool for your countertop material.

5.3 Mounting the Sink

  1. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the sink opening on the underside of the countertop.
  2. Carefully lift the sink and position it into the countertop opening from below, ensuring it is centered and aligned.
  3. Attach the mounting clips to the sink rim and secure them to the underside of the countertop according to the manufacturer's instructions. Tighten evenly to create a watertight seal.
  4. Wipe away any excess sealant immediately.

5.4 Plumbing Connections

  1. Install the sink strainer assembly into the drain opening, ensuring a proper seal with plumber's putty or silicone.
  2. Connect the drain pipe to the strainer. If installing a garbage disposal, follow the disposal manufacturer's instructions for connection to the sink drain.
  3. Connect the faucet and water supply lines according to the faucet manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks at all connection points.
