7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
To clean the timer socket, first unplug it from the power outlet. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or solvents, as these can damage the device.
7.2 Battery Information
The KWE-TM02 features a built-in, non-removable NiMH 1.2V rechargeable battery. This battery is designed to maintain your settings for over 100 hours during power outages. If the timer is stored for extended periods without power, the battery may discharge. Reconnect it to a power outlet for several hours to recharge.
8. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Ensure the timer is plugged into a live power outlet. The internal battery might be depleted; allow it to charge for a few hours.
- Programs are not activating: Check that the timer is set to AUTO mode. Verify that the current time and programmed times are set correctly.
- Device not responding to button presses: The timer may require a full reset. Locate the small RESET pinhole (usually next to the RANDOM button) and use a pointed object (like a paperclip) to press the internal button. This will clear all settings and require reprogramming.
- Appliance not turning ON/OFF: Ensure the appliance is correctly plugged into the timer socket and is functioning independently. Check the timer's load capacity is not exceeded.
