Setup and Installation
Unit Placement

Window Kit Installation
The unit includes a window kit for exhaust ventilation. This kit is compatible with double-hung or sliding windows only. It is not designed for crank casement windows. The exhaust hose is approximately 5 feet long. If your window opening is smaller than the provided panel, the panel can be cut to size using a saw, exercising caution.

Controls and Display
The unit features easy-to-use LED electronic controls with a digital display for simple operation. A full-function remote control with touch controls is also included for convenience.

Modes and Functions
- Cooling: Provides powerful cooling for rooms. For optimal cooling, ensure all windows and doors are closed and remove any significant heat sources from the room.
- Dehumidifying: Reduces humidity levels in the air.
- Fan: Circulates air without cooling.
- Timer Function: A 24-hour on/off timer allows you to program when the unit automatically turns on or shuts off.
- Adjustable Thermostat: Wide-range, adjustable thermostat control allows you to set the desired temperature.
- Sleep Function: Adjusts settings to maintain a comfortable room temperature during sleep.
After a power outage, the unit will restart automatically. Note that a micro-processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 minutes have passed after startup or restart.

- Window Extender: An extender for wider windows is not available.
- Venting Options: The unit can be vented through a window, or through a wall or door into another room, provided proper ventilation is maintained.
- Crank Casement Windows: The window kit is not compatible with crank casement windows; it works only with double-hung or sliding windows.
- Cutting Window Panel: Yes, the included window panel can be cut to size if your window opening is smaller. Exercise caution when cutting.
