Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Timoom M6 MP3 Player. Please read this manual carefully before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to extend its lifespan.

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the MP3 player. Connect the provided USB cable to the player's USB charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.

  • A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
  • Battery life after a full charge:
    • Wired headset music playback: up to 50 hours
    • Video playback: up to 9 hours
    • FM Radio: up to 13 hours
    • Recording: up to 60 hours
    • Bluetooth music playback: up to 11 hours

2. Expanding Storage Capacity

The Timoom M6 MP3 player comes with 32GB of internal memory. You can expand the storage by inserting a TF (microSD) card into the designated slot. The device supports TF cards up to 128GB.

3. Transferring Files

To transfer music, videos, pictures, or e-books to your MP3 player:

  1. Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  2. The player will appear as a removable disk drive on your computer.
  3. Drag and drop your desired files into the appropriate folders on the MP3 player (e.g., 'Music' for audio files, 'Video' for videos). You can also create your own folders.

Operating Instructions

1. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the physical layout and controls of your Timoom M6 MP3 Player:

  • ON/OFF Button: Located on the side. Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Volume Buttons: Located on the side. Press Volume+ to increase, Volume- to decrease.
  • USB Charging Port: Located at the bottom for charging and data transfer.
  • TF Card Slot: Located at the bottom for memory expansion.
  • Headphones Port: Located at the bottom for wired audio output.
  • Built-in Speaker: Located at the top for audio output without headphones.
  • Display: 2.8-inch full touch screen for navigation and content display.

2. Navigating the Touch Screen Interface

The Timoom M6 features a 2.8-inch full touch screen for intuitive navigation. Swipe to browse menus and tap to select options. The screen is sensitive but may not be as responsive as a smartphone screen.

3. Bluetooth Connectivity

The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless audio streaming to compatible headphones, earbuds, or speakers.

  1. From the main menu, tap the "Bluetooth" icon.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth.
  3. The player will search for nearby Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select your desired device from the list to pair.

You can also use the included audio cable to connect the player to car speaker systems for a wired audio experience.

4. Core Functions

  • Music Playback:

    Tap the "Music" icon. Browse by artist, album, genre, or folder. The player supports various audio formats for HIFI lossless sound. Note that music files may not always appear in alphabetical order, requiring manual scrolling to locate specific tracks.

  • Video Playback:

    Tap the "Video" icon. The player supports video playback on its 2.8-inch screen. Ensure video files are in a compatible format for smooth playback.

  • Recording:

    Tap the "Recording" icon to access the voice recorder function. Ideal for lectures, meetings, or personal notes.

  • FM Radio:

    Tap the "FM Radio" icon. Connect wired earphones (acting as an antenna) for optimal reception. Scan for available stations.

  • E-Book:

    Tap the "E-Book" icon to read text files. The 2.8-inch screen provides a clear display for reading.

  • Pedometer:

    Tap the "Pedometer" icon to track your steps. Useful for fitness activities.

  • Settings:

    Tap the "Setting" icon to adjust various device parameters, including brightness (11 levels available), date, time, language, and system information.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the MP3 player in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: While the screen is scratch-resistant, handle the device with care to prevent damage from drops or impacts.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Device does not power on.Battery may be depleted. Connect to a charger and allow it to charge for at least 10 minutes before attempting to power on again.
Screen is unresponsive or freezes.The touch screen sensitivity may not be as high as a smartphone. Try a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. If unresponsive, allow the battery to fully drain and then recharge.
Cannot transfer files to the device.Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the player and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify the device is recognized as a removable disk.
Music files are not in alphabetical order.This is a known characteristic of the device's file management system. You may need to manually scroll through your music library to find specific artists or songs. Organizing music into specific folders can help.
Bluetooth device fails to pair.Ensure the Bluetooth device is in pairing mode and within range. Turn off and on Bluetooth on both devices. Clear previous pairings if necessary.
No sound from FM Radio.Wired earphones must be connected as they act as the antenna for FM radio reception. Ensure earphones are fully plugged in.
