1. Introduction

Welcome to the Bestway Lay-Z-Spa experience. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your new inflatable hot tub. Please read it thoroughly before setup and operation to ensure proper functionality and longevity of your spa.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Always follow basic safety precautions when installing and using this electrical equipment.

  • Do not operate the spa if the water temperature is above 40°C (104°F).
  • Children should not use the spa without adult supervision.
  • Pregnant women and persons with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or other health conditions should consult a physician before using the spa.
  • Always disconnect the spa from the electrical supply before cleaning, servicing, or making any adjustments.
  • Ensure the spa is placed on a level surface capable of supporting its filled weight (954 kg / 2,103 lbs).

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components listed below are included in your package. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with assembly and contact customer support.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for proper setup of your Lay-Z-Spa.

  1. Site Selection: Choose a flat, stable surface that can support the spa's weight when filled. Ensure adequate drainage and proximity to a grounded electrical outlet.

  2. Unpacking and Spreading: Carefully remove the spa from its packaging and spread it out on the chosen location.
  3. Inflation: Connect the spa pump to the spa's inflation valve. Use the pump's air blower function to inflate the spa until it is firm to the touch but not over-inflated. The pump will automatically inflate the spa.
  4. Pump Connection: Connect the spa pump to the spa pool using the provided hoses. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight.
  5. Filling with Water: Fill the spa with water using a garden hose. Do not fill above the maximum fill line indicated inside the spa. The water capacity is 916 liters (242 gallons) at 80% capacity.

  6. ChemConnect™ Dispenser: Attach the ChemConnect™ dispenser to the spa's water outlet. This dispenser helps maintain stable chlorine levels.

  7. Filter Cartridge Installation: Insert the filter cartridge (Type VI) into the filter housing inside the spa.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Lay-Z-Spa is equipped with a user-friendly digital control panel.

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the spa system on or off.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the up and down arrows to set your desired water temperature. The maximum heat capability is 40°C (104°F). The heating system warms water at approximately 1.5-2.0°C/h (3-4°F/h).
  • AirJet™ System: Activate the AirJet™ bubble massage system (140 jets) for a soothing experience.

  • Timer Function: Utilize the power-saving, timer-controlled heating system to program the spa heater up to 40 days in advance.
  • Filtration System: The integrated filtration system continuously cleans the water. Ensure the filter cartridge is clean for optimal performance.
  • Freeze Shield™: The automatic heating system prevents water from freezing and damaging the spa in colder temperatures.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of your Lay-Z-Spa.

  • Filter Cartridge Cleaning/Replacement: Clean the filter cartridge regularly (daily or every other day depending on usage). Replace the cartridge every few weeks or when it becomes discolored and hard.
  • Water Chemistry: Regularly test and adjust water chemistry using appropriate spa chemicals. The ChemConnect™ dispenser assists in maintaining stable chlorine levels.
  • Spa Cleaning: Periodically drain and clean the spa interior with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Cover Care: Keep the reinforced cover clean and securely fastened with safety lock clips when the spa is not in use to prevent debris and heat loss.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, drain the spa completely, clean it, and ensure it is thoroughly dry before deflating and storing in a dry, protected area.

7. Troubleshooting
