2. Setup and Battery Installation

Some components of your VIBELITE tool kit require batteries for their LED lights. The kit includes the necessary LR44 batteries.

2.1 Battery Installation for LED Components

  1. Flexible LED Flashlight: Unscrew the tail cap of the flexible LED flashlight. Insert three (3) LR44 batteries with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment. Screw the tail cap back on securely.
  2. 15lb Magnetic Pickup Tool with LED Light: Locate the battery compartment, typically near the LED light assembly. Unscrew the cap. Insert three (3) LR44 batteries, observing correct polarity. Reattach the cap.
  3. Square Inspection Mirror with LED Light: The square inspection mirror has two integrated LED lights. Access the battery compartment, usually by twisting or unscrewing a section near the mirror head. Insert the required LR44 batteries (typically three or four, depending on the specific design) with correct polarity. Secure the compartment.

Note: Ensure all battery compartments are tightly sealed after installation to prevent dust or moisture ingress.

2.2 Initial Inspection

Before first use, extend and retract each telescoping tool to ensure smooth operation. Verify that all LED lights function by activating their respective power buttons.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Using Magnetic Pickup Tools

The kit includes a 1lb and a 15lb magnetic pickup rod. These tools are designed to retrieve ferrous metal objects (e.g., screws, nuts, bolts, washers) from confined or hard-to-reach spaces.

  1. Extend the Rod: Gently pull the telescoping shaft to extend the rod to the desired length.
  2. Retrieve Object: Position the magnetic tip near the metallic object. The magnet will attract and hold the object.
  3. Retract and Release: Carefully retract the rod and bring the object to an accessible location. To release the object, simply pull it off the magnetic tip or retract the rod fully and shake gently.
  4. 15lb Magnetic Pickup Tool with LED: For darker areas, activate the LED light on the 15lb tool by pressing the power button, typically located near the handle. This illuminates the target area for better visibility.

3.2 Using Inspection Mirrors

The round and square inspection mirrors allow visual inspection of hidden areas.

  1. Extend and Adjust: Extend the telescoping shaft to the required length. The mirror head features a 360-degree swivel joint, allowing you to angle the mirror for optimal viewing.
  2. Square Inspection Mirror with LED: For dimly lit spaces, activate the LED lights on the square mirror by pressing its power button. This provides illumination directly at the point of inspection.

3.3 Using the Flexible LED Flashlight

The telescoping flexible LED flashlight provides targeted illumination and can also function as a magnetic pickup tool.

  1. Activate Light: Press the power button to turn on the LED lights.
  2. Adjust Flex Neck: Bend the flexible neck to direct the light precisely where needed.
  3. Magnetic Base: The flashlight features a magnetic base, allowing it to be attached to ferrous metal surfaces for hands-free operation.
  4. Magnetic Tip: The tip of the flashlight also contains a magnet, enabling it to pick up small metallic objects.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VIBELITE tools.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down tools with a clean, dry cloth after each use. For stubborn grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not immerse any part of the tools in water as they are not water resistant.
  • Storage: Store the tools in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and corrosive materials. Retract all telescoping shafts before storage to protect them from damage.
  • Battery Replacement: When LED lights dim or cease to function, replace the LR44 batteries in the respective components. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time and ensure correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the telescoping shafts for any signs of bending or damage. Check the magnetic tips for debris that might reduce their effectiveness.

5. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
LED light not working.Dead or incorrectly installed batteries.Check battery polarity. Replace LR44 batteries.
Magnetic tip not picking up objects.Object is non-ferrous (not magnetic) or too heavy. Debris on magnet.Ensure object is metallic and within the tool's weight capacity (1lb or 15lb). Clean the magnetic tip.
Telescoping shaft is stiff or stuck.Dirt or debris in the shaft mechanism.Gently clean the shaft sections. Avoid forcing the mechanism.
