1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Butane gas is extremely flammable. Handle with extreme care. Keep out of reach of children.

• Ensure adequate ventilation when using the torch.
• Do not expose the torch to direct sunlight or temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).
• Keep away from face and clothing during ignition.
• Do not puncture or incinerate the torch.
• Use only high-quality butane gas for refilling.
• Always engage the safety lock when the torch is not in use.

4. Setup: Refilling Butane Gas

The Sondiko Butane Torch PS400 does not come pre-filled with butane gas. Please ensure you have a compatible butane gas canister with a long nozzle.

1. Turn the torch upside down.
2. Insert the nozzle of the butane gas canister vertically into the gas refill valve at the bottom of the torch.
3. Press down firmly for approximately 5-10 seconds. Repeat if necessary until the torch is full.
4. Wait a few minutes after refilling before igniting to allow the gas to stabilize.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Ignition

1. Ensure the safety lock is disengaged (turned counter-clockwise).
2. Press the ignition button to light the flame.

5.2. Adjusting Flame Temperature and Size

The flame temperature can reach up to 1300°C (2372°F).

• Use the GAS button (or flame adjustment knob) to regulate the flame intensity and size. Turn towards '+' for a larger, hotter flame, and towards '-' for a smaller, cooler flame.

5.3. Continuous Flame Mode

1. After igniting the flame, turn the safety lock clockwise. This will lock the ignition button in the 'on' position, providing a continuous flame without needing to hold the button.
2. To disengage continuous flame mode, turn the safety lock counter-clockwise.

• Cleaning: Wipe the torch body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
• Storage: Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the safety lock is engaged and the torch is completely cool before storing.
• Butane Level: Regularly check the butane level and refill as needed to ensure optimal performance.
