  • This cage is designed for small to medium-sized birds such as lovebirds, parakeets, canaries, conures, and African grey parrots. The bar spacing is 1.1 cm (0.43 inches). It is not suitable for very small birds like finches or large birds that could bend the bars.
  • Always supervise children around the bird cage.
  • Position the cage in a safe, indoor location away from direct sunlight, drafts, and hazards.
  • Proposition 65 Warning: This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • Metal Cage Panels (various sizes)
  • Detachable Rolling Stand
  • Bottom Storage Shelf
  • Wooden Perches (multiple)
  • Plastic Food Containers (multiple)
  • Slide-out Trays (2)
  • Wheels (6)
  • Assembly Hardware (screws, nuts, hex tool)

Setup and Assembly

Assembly is required. Follow the visual instructions provided with your product. The process typically involves:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any bent or damaged parts.
  2. Stand Assembly: Assemble the rolling stand first, attaching the bottom storage shelf and the six wheels. Ensure wheels are securely locked if the cage is to remain stationary.
  3. Cage Section Assembly: Construct the two main cage sections. Pay close attention to the orientation of panels.
  4. Attaching Cage to Stand: Place the assembled cage sections onto the stand.
  5. Divider Installation (Optional): If using the central divider, ensure it fits snugly. If a gap appears when the divider is removed, adjust the K brackets located at the top center and back center of the cage. Loosen screws, insert the divider, gently squeeze cage sections together, align brackets, then tighten screws. This helps minimize gaps when the divider is not in use.
  6. Install Perches and Feeders: Insert the wooden perches and plastic food containers into their designated slots.
  7. Slide-out Trays: Insert the two slide-out trays at the bottom of each cage section.

Note: The provided hex tool can be challenging to use. Take your time and ensure all screws are tightened sufficiently without over-tightening.

Operating Instructions

  • Access Doors: The cage features two large front doors, multiple sliding food doors, and two side doors for convenient access to your birds and their supplies.
  • Feeding: Use the plastic food containers for birdseed and water. Ensure they are securely placed to prevent spills.
  • Perches: The wooden perches provide resting spots for your birds. Additional perches and toys can be added as desired.
  • Mobility: The rolling stand allows for easy repositioning of the cage. Lock the wheels when the cage is in its desired location.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Daily Cleaning: The front slide-out trays are designed to catch birdseed and droppings. Regularly slide them out for easy cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment for your birds.
  • Cage Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the cage bars and surfaces with a bird-safe cleaner. Ensure all cleaning agents are thoroughly rinsed off and the cage is dry before returning birds.
  • Food and Water Bowls: Clean food and water bowls daily to prevent bacterial growth. Consider replacing plastic bowls with stainless steel alternatives for better hygiene.
  • Perches: Clean perches regularly. Wooden dowel perches can be difficult to clean thoroughly; consider providing natural branch perches for better foot health and easier replacement.
  • Location: Keep the cage indoors as specified.

Troubleshooting

  • Gap Between Cage Sections: If a noticeable gap appears when the central divider is removed, loosen the screws on the K brackets (top center and back center). Gently push the cage sections closer together, align the brackets, and then re-tighten the screws.
  • Bent Pieces: If any metal pieces are slightly bent upon arrival, gently attempt to straighten them by hand. Do not apply excessive force that could cause further damage.
  • Holes Not Aligning During Assembly: Double-check the orientation of the panels. Sometimes, rotating a panel or slightly loosening adjacent screws can help align holes. Avoid forcing screws, which can strip threads.
  • Doors Not Staying Shut: The main doors are designed to latch, but smaller feeding doors may be opened by intelligent birds. Consider using small, bird-safe clips (not included) to secure these doors if necessary.
  • Unsuitable Perches/Bowls: The included plastic bowls and wooden dowel perches may not be ideal for all birds. For improved hygiene and foot health, consider purchasing stainless steel bowls and natural branch perches.
