7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your bread maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bread does not rise or rises too much. | Incorrect yeast amount, old yeast, water temperature too hot/cold, incorrect ingredient measurements. | Ensure yeast is fresh and active. Use water at the correct temperature (around 105-115°F or 40-46°C). Measure all ingredients precisely. |
| Bread is too dense. | Too much flour, not enough liquid, insufficient kneading. | Adjust flour and liquid ratios according to recipe. Ensure the kneading cycle completes properly. |
| Kneading blade stuck in bread. | Common occurrence. | After removing the bread from the pan, use the provided metal hook to carefully extract the kneading blade. Soaking the pan in warm water after use can help loosen any stuck residue. |
| Machine does not start or responds erratically. | Power issue, program not selected, sensitive buttons. | Ensure the unit is properly plugged in. Select a program before pressing START. If buttons are sensitive, ensure only one press is registered. If accidentally started, hold the START/PAUSE/STOP button to reset. |
| Bread sticks to the pan. | Pan not properly greased (if recipe requires), wear on non-stick coating. | Ensure the pan is clean and, if necessary, lightly greased before adding ingredients. Soaking the pan in warm water after use helps release residue. |
