  • Safety Buckle Device: Ensures the grinder only operates when the lid is securely closed.
  • Overload Protector: Automatically stops operation in case of overload or overheating to protect the motor.
  • Timer Switch Control: Simple operation by setting the desired grinding time.

3. Setup and Operation

Follow these steps to set up and operate your grain mill grinder:

  1. Prepare the Grinder: Ensure the grinder is clean and dry before use. Place it on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Add Materials: Open the lid and carefully pour the desired dry materials into the grinding jar. Do not overfill; ensure there is enough space for the blades to operate effectively.
  3. Secure the Lid: Close the lid tightly. Engage both safety buckles on the sides of the lid. Ensure you hear a clear click, indicating the induction switch is triggered and the lid is properly secured. The grinder will not start if the lid is not correctly closed.
  4. Connect Power and Set Timer: Plug the grinder into a 110V power outlet. Turn the timer switch to the desired grinding time. For general grains, 30 seconds is often sufficient to achieve a fine powder.
  5. Grinding Process: The mill will start grinding automatically once the timer is set and the lid is secured. Monitor the grinding process.
  6. Stop Operation: To stop grinding, turn the timer switch back to zero or wait for the set time to elapse.
  7. Remove Powder: Once grinding is complete and the machine has stopped, cut off the power by unplugging the unit. Carefully open the lid and pour out the ground powder.

Grinding Performance:

The grinding time directly affects the fineness of the powder. Experiment with different times to achieve your desired consistency. For example, hot peppers can be ground from coarse to fine by increasing grinding time from 10 seconds to 60 seconds.

Figure 5: Grinding effect display for hot peppers, showing varying fineness based on grinding duration.

If you are not satisfied with the grinding effect after one cycle, you can sieve out coarse particles and grind them again for a finer powder. Remember not to continuously operate for more than 3 minutes.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your grinder.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, unplug the machine. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any remaining powder inside the grinding jar. Then, wipe the interior with a dry cloth.
  • Do Not Wash with Water: The grinding jar is not detachable. Do not wash it directly with water or rinse the motor base, as this can damage the electrical components.
  • Deep Cleaning Blades: For thorough cleaning after extended use, the blades can be removed.
    1. Unscrew one of the screws and lift it up to jam the short blade.
    2. Drive the wrench or socket counter-clockwise to loosen the locknut on the blades.
    3. Carefully take out the blades. Be cautious not to hurt your fingers.
    4. Clean the removed blades with water and dry them thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Cleaning Tip: After grinding oily or strongly flavored materials, you can add some rice and dried tea to the grinding jar and grind them. This can greatly help clean the grinding jar and remove residual odors.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Moongiantgo grinder, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Grinder Not Starting:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Verify that the lid is closed tightly and both safety buckles are fully engaged. The grinder has a safety mechanism that prevents operation if the lid is not properly secured.
    • Check if the timer switch is set to a grinding duration.
  • Grinder Stops During Operation:
    • This may indicate the overload protector has been activated due to excessive load or overheating. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool down, and press the overload protector button to reset.
    • Ensure you are not grinding wet, oily, or sticky materials, which can cause the motor to strain and trigger the protector.
  • Material Not Grinding Finely:
    • Increase the grinding time. Refer to the "Grinding Performance" section for examples.
    • Ensure the grinding jar is not overfilled. Reduce the quantity of material if necessary.
    • For very coarse materials, consider grinding in shorter bursts or multiple cycles.
  • Unusual Noise or Odor:
    • Immediately turn off and unplug the grinder.
    • Check for any foreign objects in the grinding chamber.
    • If the issue persists, contact customer support.
