Maintenance

Cleaning the Air Filter

Regular cleaning of the air filter is crucial for optimal performance. A dirty filter reduces airflow and cooling efficiency. Clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage.

  1. Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter panel, usually on the rear or side of the unit.
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Draining Condensate

If not using continuous drainage, the internal water tank will fill up. When the tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (refer to troubleshooting). To drain:

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage outlet at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

Storage

Before storing the unit for an extended period:

  • Ensure all condensate is drained.
  • Clean the air filter.
  • Run the unit in fan mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
  • Unplug the unit and coil the power cord.
  • Store the unit in a dry, upright position, preferably in its original packaging.
