1. Introduction

The Scentcares Waterless Diffuser (Model Scent-W) is a portable and smart essential oil nebulizer designed to enhance your environment with pure essential oil aromas without the need for water or heat. Its compact, cordless design makes it ideal for use in various settings, including your home, office, or vehicle.

Key features include an advanced, sound-free air pump, cold diffusion technology for nano particle mist, three adjustable mist intensity levels, and a 2-hour auto-off function for energy efficiency. The device is USB-chargeable and offers extended battery life.

2. Safety Information

• Do not use with water. This diffuser is designed for waterless operation with pure essential oils only.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Use in a well-ventilated area.
• Only use pure botanical essential oils or high volatile oils. Avoid resin or thick oils (e.g., Sandalwood) as they may block the spray nozzle.

3. Setup

3.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the diffuser. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the back of the device and to a power source. A blue light on the top will flash during charging. Once the light becomes solid blue, the diffuser is fully charged. Initial charging may take up to 6 hours, subsequent charges typically take about 3 hours.

3.2. Inserting Essential Oil

1. Ensure the diffuser is powered off.
2. Push the button on the bottom of the diffuser to release the essential oil nozzle.
3. Unscrew the empty essential oil bottle from the nozzle.
4. Screw your chosen essential oil bottle (10mL recommended) onto the nozzle. Ensure it is securely fastened.
5. Align the triangle marks on the nozzle and the diffuser body, then push the nozzle back into the diffuser until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

To power on the diffuser, tap the power button on the top panel. To power off, tap the power button again.

4.2. Adjusting Mist Intensity

The diffuser offers three mist intensity levels. Tap the mist intensity button (cloud icon) on the top panel to cycle through the settings:

• Level 1 (Low): Mists for approximately 15 seconds, then pauses for 2 minutes.
• Level 2 (Medium): Mists for approximately 30 seconds, then pauses for 2.5 minutes.
• Level 3 (High): Mists for approximately 30 seconds, then pauses for 2 minutes.

4.3. Automatic Shut-off

The diffuser features a 2-hour automatic shut-off function to conserve energy and essential oil.

4.4. Battery Life

A fully charged diffuser can operate for approximately 50 hours on the lowest mist intensity setting.

5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Scentcares Waterless Diffuser, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Regularly wipe the exterior of the diffuser with a soft, dry cloth.
• If the nozzle appears to be blocked or mist output is reduced, gently clean the nozzle opening with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Ensure the diffuser is off and disconnected from power before cleaning.
• Only use pure essential oils. Avoid using diluted oils or oils with impurities, as these can cause clogging.

If you encounter issues with your Scentcares Waterless Diffuser, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Mist Output:
  • Ensure the essential oil bottle is correctly installed and securely screwed onto the nozzle.
  • Check if the nozzle is clogged. Clean it gently as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Verify the diffuser is charged. Connect it to a power source and check the charging indicator light.
• Weak Mist Output or Fading Scent:
  • Check the mist intensity setting and adjust to a higher level if desired.
  • Ensure the essential oil bottle is not nearly empty.
  • Clean the nozzle for any partial blockages.
  • Note that essential oils contain volatile substances; the scent may seem stronger initially and then decrease as these substances dissipate.
• Device Not Turning On:
  • Confirm the device is charged.
  • Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just a quick tap.
• Cannot Push Button on Bottom:
  • Ensure an essential oil bottle is properly connected to the top plug before attempting to push the nozzle out or insert it. Do not force the button if no bottle is attached.
