  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Note: Batteries are sold separately. Battery life is approximately 1 year with new alkaline batteries, but may vary depending on usage frequency.

2. Initial Setup: Setting Manufacturer Codes

To control your AV devices, you need to set the corresponding manufacturer code for each device type (TV, Tuner, or BD/DVD).

  1. Identify the device you want to control (TV, Tuner, or BD/DVD).
  2. Press and hold the corresponding device button (TV, Tuner, or BD) on the remote.
  3. While holding the device button, enter the 3-digit manufacturer code for your device using the number buttons. Refer to the "Manufacturer Code List" section below.
  4. Release the device button. The remote is now set for that device.
  5. Test the remote by pressing various buttons (e.g., Power, Volume, Channel). If the device does not respond correctly, try the next code for your manufacturer from the list.

Note: The remote has a memory backup function, so manufacturer codes will be retained even if batteries are replaced.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Operation

After setting the manufacturer codes, select the device you wish to control by pressing the corresponding device button (TV, Tuner, or BD). The remote will then send commands for that device.

2. Using the Learning Function

The learning function allows you to copy specific commands from your original remote control to any button on the OHM AV Learning Remote R850Z, including the F1-F5 customizable buttons. This is useful for functions not covered by the pre-programmed manufacturer codes.

  1. Place the OHM AV Learning Remote R850Z and your original remote control facing each other, about 1-3 cm apart.
  2. Enter learning mode. (The exact method to enter learning mode may vary. Please consult the full instruction manual for precise steps, as it typically involves holding a specific button or combination for a few seconds until an indicator light blinks.)
  3. Once in learning mode:
    1. Press the button on the OHM remote that you want to program (e.g., F1, or any other button). The indicator light will change.
    2. Press the corresponding button on your original remote control. The indicator light on the OHM remote should blink rapidly or change color to confirm successful learning.
    3. Repeat for other buttons you wish to program.
    4. Exit learning mode (usually by pressing the same button or combination used to enter, or waiting for a timeout).

Note: For detailed instructions on entering and exiting learning mode, please refer to the complete instruction manual included with your product.
