4. Assembly and Setup
4.1 Handle Assembly
- Insert the upper handle into the base until it clicks securely into place.
- Wrap the power cord around the cord wraps for storage.
4.2 Filling the Clean Water Tank
- Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine.
- Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank.
- Fill the tank with hot tap water (not boiling) to the 'Water Fill Line'.
- Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula to the 'Formula Fill Line'.
- Replace the cap and securely reinsert the tank into the machine.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Preparing the Area
- Vacuum the area thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Pre-treat any heavily soiled areas or tough stains with a BISSELL pre-treatment solution.
5.2 Deep Cleaning Carpets
- Plug the machine into a grounded outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the machine.
- Press the recline pedal and make a slow, wet pass forward while holding the spray trigger.
- Release the spray trigger and make a slow, dry pass backward over the same area to extract dirty water.
- Repeat passes until the water being extracted appears clean.
- For best results, make additional dry passes to remove as much moisture as possible.
5.3 Using the Hose and Attachment Tools
The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution includes a hose and various attachment tools for cleaning upholstery, stairs, and hard-to-reach spots.
- Open the hose access door on the front of the machine.
- Insert the hose into the opening until it clicks into place.
- Attach the desired cleaning tool (e.g., Tough Stain Tool, Long Reach Tool) to the end of the hose.
- Hold the tool approximately one inch above the surface to be cleaned and press the spray trigger to apply solution.
- Release the trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the tool slowly over the soiled surface to extract the solution.
- Repeat as necessary.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Emptying and Rinsing the Dirty Water Tank
- Remove the dirty water tank from the machine.
- Unlatch the tank lid and pour out the dirty water.
- Rinse the tank and lid thoroughly with clean water.

6.2 Cleaning the Brush Rolls and Nozzle
