1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution 1858N carpet and upholstery cleaner. 2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Assembly and Setup

4.1 Handle Assembly

  1. Insert the upper handle into the base until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Wrap the power cord around the cord wraps for storage.

4.2 Filling the Clean Water Tank

  1. Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine.
  2. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank.
  3. Fill the tank with hot tap water (not boiling) to the 'Water Fill Line'.
  4. Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula to the 'Formula Fill Line'.
  5. Replace the cap and securely reinsert the tank into the machine.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Preparing the Area

  • Vacuum the area thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris.
  • Pre-treat any heavily soiled areas or tough stains with a BISSELL pre-treatment solution.

5.2 Deep Cleaning Carpets

  1. Plug the machine into a grounded outlet.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the machine.
  3. Press the recline pedal and make a slow, wet pass forward while holding the spray trigger.
  4. Release the spray trigger and make a slow, dry pass backward over the same area to extract dirty water.
  5. Repeat passes until the water being extracted appears clean.
  6. For best results, make additional dry passes to remove as much moisture as possible.

5.3 Using the Hose and Attachment Tools

The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution includes a hose and various attachment tools for cleaning upholstery, stairs, and hard-to-reach spots.

  1. Open the hose access door on the front of the machine.
  2. Insert the hose into the opening until it clicks into place.
  3. Attach the desired cleaning tool (e.g., Tough Stain Tool, Long Reach Tool) to the end of the hose.
  4. Hold the tool approximately one inch above the surface to be cleaned and press the spray trigger to apply solution.
  5. Release the trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the tool slowly over the soiled surface to extract the solution.
  6. Repeat as necessary.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying and Rinsing the Dirty Water Tank

  1. Remove the dirty water tank from the machine.
  2. Unlatch the tank lid and pour out the dirty water.
  3. Rinse the tank and lid thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Allow to air dry before reassembling.

6.2 Cleaning the Brush Rolls and Nozzle

  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Remove the nozzle cover by lifting the tabs.
  3. Carefully remove any hair or debris from the brush rolls.
  4. Rinse the nozzle cover under running water.
  5. Reassemble the nozzle cover and brush rolls.

6.3 Storing the Machine

Store the machine in a dry, protected area. Ensure all tanks are empty and clean before storage.
