4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Microphone

1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging interface on the microphone (refer to Figure 2.2).
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
3. The indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, off when fully charged).

4.2 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Long press the power button (usually labeled with a circle and a vertical line) until the device powers on and indicates its mode (e.g., "Bluetooth mode").
• To Power Off: Long press the power button again until the device powers off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the microphone is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (it will usually announce "Bluetooth mode" or have a blinking indicator light).
2. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings.
3. Search for available devices and select "WS-858" (or similar name) from the list.
4. Once connected, the microphone will usually confirm with an audible prompt (e.g., "Bluetooth connected").

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

• Power Button: Long press to power on/off. Short press to switch modes (Bluetooth, AUX, Radio).
• VOL+ / VOL-: Adjusts the overall music volume.
• MICVOL+ / MICVOL-: Adjusts the microphone's voice volume.
• PREV / NEXT: Skips to the previous or next song when playing music.
• PLAY/PAUSE: Plays or pauses music playback.
• ECHO: Adjusts the echo effect level for your voice.

5.2 Voice Changing Function

The microphone offers 5 types of voice-changing effects:

1. Press the 'Voice FX' or 'REC' button (depending on model variant) to cycle through different voice effects.
2. Available effects typically include: Honeyed Voice, Child Voice, Tough Voice, Original, Male Voice.
3. Select the desired voice effect for enhanced entertainment.

5.3 Recording Function

To record your singing:

1. Ensure a TF card is inserted into the designated slot (refer to Figure 2.2).
2. Connect the microphone to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
3. Open your preferred recording app on your smartphone.
4. Press the 'REC' button on the microphone to start recording. Press again to stop.
5. Recordings will be saved to the TF card or directly to your connected device, depending on the app used.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the microphone dry and clean. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.
• Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Store the microphone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Sound or Low Volume

• Check if the microphone is powered on and fully charged.
• Ensure the MICVOL and main VOL+ buttons are adjusted to an audible level.
• Verify Bluetooth connection. If disconnected, re-pair the device.
• If playing from a connected device, ensure its volume is also turned up.

7.2 Loud Startup/Shutdown Prompts

• Some users report loud audio prompts during power on/off. This is a characteristic of the device and cannot be adjusted. Consider powering on/off in a less sensitive environment.

7.3 Connectivity Issues

• Ensure the microphone is within the Bluetooth range of your device (typically up to 10 meters).
• Turn off and restart both the microphone and your connected device, then attempt to re-pair.
• Clear previous Bluetooth connections on your device and try connecting again.
