Setup

Power Connection:

1. Unpack the SYLVANIA SCR1808 unit and place it on a stable, flat surface.
2. Connect the AC power cord to the AC input jack on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz). The display will light up, indicating power is connected.

Battery Backup (Optional):

For backup power during outages, install 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. This will preserve time and alarm settings in case of a power interruption.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Time:

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button until the hour digits begin to flash on the display.
2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator if setting a PM time.
3. Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minute.
4. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and save the time.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 / Alarm 2):

The unit features dual alarms, allowing you to set two separate wake-up times.

1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET button until the alarm hour digits flash.
2. Press the HOUR button to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press the MINUTE button to adjust the alarm minute.
4. Press the respective ALARM SET button again to confirm the alarm time.
5. To activate the alarm, press the ALARM 1 ON/OFF or ALARM 2 ON/OFF button. An indicator light (AL1 or AL2) will appear on the display.
6. To select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio), press the ALARM MODE button while the alarm is set.

Snooze Function:

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button located on the top of the unit. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after approximately 9 minutes.

Sleep Timer:

The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

1. While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF).
2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Radio Operation (AM/FM Tuner):

1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn the radio on or off.
2. Press the BAND button to switch between AM and FM bands.
3. Press the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency.
4. Press and hold TUNE + or TUNE - to automatically scan for the next available station.
5. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.

Using USB Charging Ports:

The SYLVANIA SCR1808 is equipped with 8 USB charging ports on the back of the unit.

1. Connect your USB charging cable (not included) to one of the available USB ports.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to your smartphone, tablet, or other USB-powered device.
3. The device will begin charging automatically. Note that these ports are for charging only and do not support data transfer.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and remove any backup batteries. Store in a cool, dry place.
