1. Introduction

3. Product Overview

4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Battery Installation (Battery and Charger Sold Separately)

  1. Ensure the angle grinder is switched off.
  2. Align the charged 12V battery pack with the battery slot at the rear of the tool.
  3. Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove, press the release button on the battery and slide it out.

4.2 Installing/Changing Cutting Discs

  1. Safety First: Always ensure the battery is removed before changing discs.
  2. Engage Spindle Lock: Press and hold the spindle lock button to prevent the spindle from rotating.
  3. Loosen Flange Nut: Use the provided Allen key to loosen and remove the outer flange nut.
  4. Remove Old Disc: Carefully remove the used cutting disc.
  5. Install New Disc: Place the new 76mm cutting disc onto the inner flange, ensuring it is centered.
  6. Secure Flange Nut: Re-attach the outer flange nut and tighten it firmly with the Allen key while holding the spindle lock. Do not overtighten.
  7. Check: Ensure the disc is securely mounted and rotates freely without wobbling.

4.3 Adjusting the Protective Guard

The protective guard can be adjusted quickly and without tools to suit your working angle and provide optimal protection.

  1. Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed.
  2. Locate the quick-release mechanism on the protective guard.
  3. Depress the release lever or button and rotate the guard to the desired position.
  4. Release the lever/button to lock the guard in place. Ensure it is firmly secured before operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Before Starting

  • Ensure all safety instructions are understood and followed.
  • Verify the battery is fully charged and correctly installed.
  • Check that the cutting disc is appropriate for the material and securely mounted.
  • Confirm the protective guard is correctly positioned and tightened.
  • Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during operation.

5.2 Switching On and Off

  • To Switch On: Press the ON/OFF switch. The tool will immediately reach its operating speed of 19,500 rpm.
  • To Switch Off: Release the ON/OFF switch. Allow the disc to come to a complete stop before setting the tool down.

5.3 Cutting and Grinding Techniques

  • Maintain Firm Grip: Always hold the tool firmly with both hands, especially during startup and operation.
  • Angle of Approach: For cutting, apply the disc at a shallow angle (approx. 15-30 degrees) to the workpiece. For grinding, a slightly steeper angle may be used.
  • Even Pressure: Apply light, even pressure. Do not force the tool, as this can lead to kickback, disc damage, or reduced performance.
  • Direction of Cut: Always cut away from your body.
  • Material Compatibility: This tool is suitable for cutting various materials, including non-ferrous metals. Ensure the disc is rated for the material you are working with.
