Connecting Water Source
The Hydroshot can draw water from various sources:
- Bucket/Container: Attach the quick connector to the 20-foot draw hose. Place the filtered end of the draw hose into a bucket or container filled with clean fresh water. Ensure the filter is fully submerged and free from debris.
- Garden Hose: Use the quick-connect adapter to attach a standard garden hose directly to the Hydroshot unit.
- 2L Bottle: Screw the bottle connector onto a compatible 2-liter plastic bottle filled with water, then attach the connector to the Hydroshot. This option is ideal for small, quick tasks.
Important: Always ensure the water source is clean and free of sediment to prevent damage to the pump.
Operating Instructions
Priming the Pump
Before starting, it is crucial to prime the pump, especially when drawing water from a bucket or non-pressurized source. This removes air from the system and ensures proper water flow and pressure.
- Ensure the draw hose is fully submerged in water or the garden hose is connected and water is flowing.
- With the battery inserted, point the nozzle away from yourself and others.
- Press the safety lock button and then squeeze the trigger. Hold the trigger for approximately 15-30 seconds until a steady stream of water is expelled from the nozzle. You may hear the pump working to draw water.
- Once a steady stream is achieved, the unit is primed and ready for use.
Note: If the unit stops spraying or pressure drops, re-prime the pump.
Adjusting Spray Pattern (5-in-1 Nozzle)
The Hydroshot features a rotating 5-in-1 nozzle that allows you to select different spray patterns for various cleaning tasks.

Figure 3: The 5-in-1 nozzle allows for easy adjustment of spray patterns by rotating the head. This image highlights the different spray settings available on the nozzle.
Rotate the nozzle head to select one of the following settings:
- 0° (Pencil Jet): A concentrated, high-impact stream for tough stains and precise cleaning. Use with caution on delicate surfaces.
- 15° (Fan Spray): A narrow fan pattern for general cleaning and stubborn dirt.
- 25° (Fan Spray): A wider fan pattern for broader cleaning areas.
- 40° (Fan Spray): The widest fan pattern for gentle cleaning and rinsing large surfaces.
- Watering: A gentle shower-like spray for watering plants or light rinsing.
Caution: Always test the spray pattern on an inconspicuous area first, especially with the 0° setting, to avoid damaging surfaces.
