Operating Instructions

Mode Selection

The tool features a mode selector ring located behind the chuck. Rotate the ring to select the desired mode:

  • Drill Mode (Drill Icon): For general drilling in wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Hammer Drill Mode (Hammer Icon): For drilling in masonry, concrete, and brick.
  • Driving Mode (Screw Icon): For driving screws, with adjustable clutch settings.

Torque Adjustment (Driving Mode)

When in driving mode, rotate the numbered collar to adjust the torque setting. Lower numbers indicate lower torque for smaller screws or softer materials, while higher numbers provide more torque for larger screws or harder materials. The drill mode bypasses the clutch for maximum torque.

Speed Selection

The tool has two speed settings, controlled by a switch on top of the tool:

  • Speed 1 (Low): 0-550 RPM, ideal for high-torque applications, driving screws, and drilling large holes.
  • Speed 2 (High): 0-1800 RPM, ideal for fast drilling in wood and metal.

Trigger and Direction Control

  • Variable Speed Trigger: The trigger controls the speed. Pressing the trigger further increases the speed.
  • Forward/Reverse Selector: Located above the trigger, this switch controls the direction of rotation. Push left for forward (clockwise) rotation, push right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation. Center position locks the trigger for safety.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the tool's ventilation openings clean and free of debris to prevent overheating. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubrication: This tool is factory lubricated and requires no additional lubrication.
  • Battery Care: Store battery packs in a cool, dry place. Do not store in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Charge batteries regularly, even if not in use, to maintain optimal performance.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the chuck, power cord (if applicable), and housing for any damage. Replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Storage: Store the tool and battery in a secure, dry place out of reach of children.
