2. Mounting the Roadcam
- Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the camera.

Operating Instructions
Automatic Recording
The Roadcam is designed to start recording automatically when it receives power (e.g., when you start your car) and stop recording when power is cut (e.g., when you turn off your car).
Manual Recording
In video mode, press the OK/Record Button to manually start or stop recording.
Loop Recording
This feature allows the camera to continuously record by overwriting the oldest files when the MicroSD card is full. You can set the duration of each video segment (e.g., 1, 3, 5 minutes) in the settings menu.
Emergency Recording (G-Sensor)
The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, the current video segment is automatically locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. Adjust G-Sensor sensitivity in the settings.
Parking Monitor
If enabled, the Roadcam will automatically turn on and record a short video if it detects a collision or vibration while your vehicle is parked. This feature typically requires a continuous power supply or a dedicated hardwire kit.
Playback
- Press the Mode Button to switch to playback mode.
- Use the Up/Down Buttons to navigate through recorded videos or photos.
- Press the OK Button to play a selected file.
- To exit playback, press the Mode Button again.
Connecting to Mobile App (if applicable)
Some Roadcam models offer Wi-Fi connectivity for viewing, downloading, and managing recordings via a dedicated mobile application. Refer to the app's instructions for pairing and usage. Search for "Roadcam" in your device's app store.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the camera lens. Avoid abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.
- SD Card Management: Regularly format your MicroSD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent file corruption. Back up important files before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates. Updates can improve performance, add features, or fix bugs. Follow the provided instructions carefully when updating firmware.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the Roadcam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
Camera not powering on
- Ensure the car charger is securely plugged into both the camera and the vehicle's 12V outlet.
- Check if the vehicle's 12V outlet is receiving power (e.g., by testing with another device).
- Try a different USB cable or car charger if available.
Recording stops unexpectedly or files are corrupted
- Format the MicroSD card within the camera's settings.
- Ensure you are using a high-quality Class 10 or higher MicroSD card. Counterfeit or low-speed cards can cause issues.
- The card may be full; enable loop recording or replace the card.
- The card may be faulty; try a new MicroSD card.
Video footage is blurry or unclear
- Clean the camera lens with a soft cloth.
- Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens.
- Check if the windshield area where the camera is mounted is clean.
- Adjust the video resolution in the settings to a higher quality if available.
G-Sensor is too sensitive or not sensitive enough
- Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity level in the camera's settings menu. Lower sensitivity for fewer false triggers, higher for more detection.
