Setup

Battery Installation:

The Penrui JRT200 thermometer requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for operation.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the handle of the thermometer.
2. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.

Note: Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Body Temperature Measurement:

1. Ensure the thermometer is in "Body" mode. If not, press the "MODE" button to switch between Body and Object modes.
2. Hold the thermometer approximately 1-6 cm (0.4-2.5 inches) from the center of the forehead.
3. Press the measurement button (trigger) once.
4. The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen within 1 second.
5. If a high temperature is detected, the alarm function will activate.

Taking an Object Surface Temperature Measurement:

This mode is useful for checking the temperature of milk, bath water, or food.

1. Press the "MODE" button to switch to "Object" mode. The display will indicate the current mode.
2. Point the thermometer at the surface of the object you wish to measure, maintaining a distance of 1-6 cm (0.4-2.5 inches).
3. Press the measurement button (trigger).
4. The surface temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Memory Function:

The thermometer automatically stores previous readings. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to scroll through stored measurements.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Wipe the thermometer body with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• For the probe, use a cotton swab or soft cloth lightly moistened with alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol is recommended) to gently clean the surface.
• Ensure the probe is completely dry before storage or next use.
