Important Safeguards

Assembly and Setup

  1. Before First Use: Wash the mixing bowl, splash guard, whisk, dough hook, flat beater, egg separator, and spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the mixer base with a damp cloth.
  2. Positioning the Mixer: Place the mixer on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure it is unplugged from the power outlet.
  3. Attaching the Mixing Bowl: Place the stainless steel mixing bowl onto the base, aligning the tabs on the bowl with the slots on the base. Turn the bowl clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  4. Installing an Attachment:
    • Ensure the mixer is unplugged and the speed control is set to '0'.
    • Press the tilt-head release lever and lift the mixer head until it locks in the raised position.
    • Slide the desired attachment (whisk, dough hook, or flat beater) onto the attachment shaft, aligning the pin on the shaft with the groove on the attachment. Push upwards and turn slightly counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.
    • Lower the mixer head by pressing the tilt-head release lever and gently pushing the head down until it locks.
  5. Attaching the Splash Guard: Once the attachment and bowl are in place and the mixer head is lowered, slide the splash guard onto the mixer head, ensuring the opening aligns with the attachment.

Always ensure the mixer is properly assembled and the mixer head is locked down before plugging it in and operating.

General Operation Steps:

  1. Ensure the mixer is unplugged and the speed control is at '0'.
  2. Assemble the mixer with the desired attachment and mixing bowl.
  3. Add ingredients to the mixing bowl.
  4. Lower and lock the mixer head.
  5. Plug the mixer into a suitable power outlet (240V).
  6. Turn the speed control knob to the desired setting. Start at a lower speed and gradually increase if needed.
  7. When finished, turn the speed control knob back to '0' and unplug the mixer.
  8. Press the tilt-head release lever and lift the mixer head. Remove the attachment by pushing upwards and turning clockwise.
  9. Remove the mixing bowl by turning it counter-clockwise.
