3.1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully unpack all components and verify that all items are present and undamaged. The package should include the DVR/XVR unit, power adapter, and any included cables (e.g., HDMI, audio/video cables).

3.2. Connecting the DVR/XVR

  1. Connect Cameras: Connect your analog (HDCVI, HDTVI, AHD) cameras to the BNC "VIDEO IN" ports on the rear panel. For IP cameras, connect them to your network, and the DVR will discover them.
  2. Connect Display: Connect a monitor to the DVR/XVR using either the HDMI or VGA port.
  3. Connect Audio: If using external microphones, connect them to the "AUDIO IN" RCA ports. For cameras with integrated microphones supporting audio over coaxial, no separate audio cable is needed for those channels.
  4. Connect Network: Connect an Ethernet cable from the DVR/XVR's LAN port to your router or network switch for network access and P2P functionality.
  5. Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the "DC 12V" input on the rear panel and plug it into a power outlet. The unit will power on automatically.

3.3. Initial Setup Wizard

Upon the first boot-up, a "Fast Wizard" will appear on your connected monitor. This wizard will guide you through essential initial configurations, including:

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Live View and Recording

To enable cloud storage for recordings and screenshots:

  1. Go to the "Storage" or "Cloud" settings in the main menu.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your cloud account with the DVR/XVR. This typically involves scanning a QR code or entering an authorization code.
  4. Configure which events or recordings should be uploaded to the cloud.

The P2P function allows remote viewing of your cameras via a mobile app or client software without complex port forwarding. To use P2P:

  1. Ensure the DVR/XVR is connected to the internet.
  2. Download the official mobile application (refer to the product packaging or manufacturer's website for the app name).
  3. Register an account within the app.
  4. Add your device by scanning the P2P QR code displayed on the DVR/XVR's monitor (usually found in Network or P2P settings) or by manually entering the device's serial number.
  5. Enter the device's password when prompted.
  6. You should now be able to view live feeds and access recordings remotely.
