1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Stand Assembly

1. Unfold the stand legs and ensure they are securely locked into position.
2. Place the table saw onto the stand, aligning the mounting holes.
3. Secure the saw to the stand using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure all bolts are tightened.

4.2 Blade Installation

1. WARNING: Disconnect the saw from the power source before installing or changing the blade.
2. Raise the blade to its maximum height.
3. Using the provided blade wrenches, loosen the arbor nut and remove the outer blade washer.
4. Place the 10-inch blade onto the arbor with the teeth pointing towards the front of the saw.
5. Reinstall the outer blade washer and arbor nut. Tighten securely with the blade wrenches.

4.3 Guarding Assembly Installation

1. Ensure the blade is fully lowered.
2. Install the riving knife into its slot behind the blade. Ensure it is aligned with the blade.
3. Attach the blade guard and anti-kickback pawls assembly to the riving knife. This is a tool-free process.
4. Verify that the guard moves freely and covers the blade properly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power Connection

Connect the saw to a standard 120V AC outlet. The saw operates on a corded electric power source with a wattage of 1800W.

5.2 Adjusting Blade Height and Angle

• Blade Height: Use the height adjustment wheel to raise or lower the blade. For optimal cutting, the blade should extend approximately 1/8 inch above the workpiece.
• Blade Angle: Loosen the bevel lock handle and tilt the blade to the desired angle (up to 45 degrees). Tighten the bevel lock handle securely before cutting.

5.3 Using the Rip Fence

The rip fence is used for making straight, parallel cuts. Position the rip fence to the desired width of cut and lock it securely in place. Ensure the fence is parallel to the blade.

5.4 Using the Miter Gauge

The miter gauge is used for making accurate cross-cuts and angle cuts. Insert the miter gauge into the miter slot on the table. Adjust the angle as needed and lock it. Always hold the workpiece firmly against the miter gauge.

5.5 Safe Cutting Practices

• Always use the push stick when making narrow cuts or when your hands are close to the blade.
• Ensure the anti-kickback pawls are functioning correctly and engage the workpiece during a cut.
• Never remove the blade guard unless absolutely necessary for specific operations, and always reinstall it immediately afterward.
• Feed the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade.
• Avoid cutting warped or twisted wood that may bind the blade.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Blade Care

• Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly.
• Clean resin and pitch buildup from the blade using a suitable blade cleaner.

6.2 Dust Collection

Connect a shop vacuum or dust collection system to the integrated dust chute to minimize sawdust accumulation and maintain a clear work area.

6.3 General Cleaning

Keep the saw table and all moving parts clean and free of debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down surfaces. Do not use solvents that may damage plastic components.

6.4 Safety Feature Inspection

Periodically check the blade guard, riving knife, and anti-kickback pawls for proper function and freedom of movement. Ensure all locking mechanisms for the fence and miter gauge operate correctly.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Saw Does Not Start

• Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
• Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
• Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.

7.2 Blade Binds During Cut

• Ensure the rip fence is parallel to the blade.
• Check if the riving knife is properly aligned with the blade.
• The blade may be dull or dirty; clean or replace it.
• Avoid forcing the workpiece; feed it at a consistent, moderate rate.

7.3 Inaccurate Cuts

• Verify that the rip fence and miter gauge are securely locked and properly aligned.
• Check the blade for damage or excessive wobble.
• Ensure the workpiece is held firmly against the fence or miter gauge throughout the cut.
