Operating the Alarm

Testing the Alarm:

It is recommended to test your smoke alarm weekly to ensure it is functioning correctly.

  • Press and hold the 'TEST/SILENCE' button located on the alarm for approximately 3 seconds.
  • The alarm will emit 3 loud beeps, and the LED indicator will flash red.

  • Red LED flashes rapidly with alarm sound: Smoke detected.
  • Red LED flashes once every 5 seconds: Silence mode activated.
  • Yellow LED flashes once every 60 seconds with a chirp: Low battery or fault. Refer to Troubleshooting.

Regular maintenance ensures your smoke alarm remains in optimal working condition.

Cleaning Your Alarm:

  • Clean your smoke alarm at least once a month.
  • Gently vacuum the alarm's cover and vents using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
