This image displays the La Hestiare Butane Torch with its key components labeled. It shows the overall dimensions: 5.5 inches in length, 6.1 inches in height, and 2.36 inches in width at the base. Key parts include the Flame Tube, Ignition Button, Flame Adjustment Button, and Gas Filling Valve.
- Flame Tube: Where the flame exits. Made of ceramics and stainless steel for high-temperature stability.
- Ignition Button: Activates the flame.
- Flame Adjustment Button: Regulates flame intensity and size.
- Gas Filling Valve: Located at the base, used for refilling with butane gas.
- Safety Lock Button: Engages continuous flame mode.
Setup: Butane Refilling
The La Hestiare Butane Torch is shipped without butane gas. Please follow these steps to refill your torch:
- Prepare Butane: Use only high-quality butane fuel with a long nozzle gas cylinder. Do not use short nozzle canisters. Ensure the butane canister is compatible with the torch's filling valve.
- Purge Air: Before refilling, it is recommended to purge any residual air from the torch's gas tank. Push the refill valve with a small tool (like a red plastic tool often included with butane canisters) and hold for about 10 seconds to release air.
- Refill: Turn the torch upside down. Insert the butane pipe from the gas canister vertically into the gas filling valve at the base of the torch. Press down firmly for several seconds until the tank is full. Do not overfill.
- Stabilize: After refilling, allow 2-3 minutes for the gas to stabilize before attempting to operate the torch. This helps ensure proper ignition and flame consistency.

Only use butane gas with a long nozzle for refilling this culinary torch. Short nozzle canisters are not compatible.

Push the refill valve with a tool and hold for approximately 10 seconds to purge air from the tank.

Turn the torch upside down and insert the butane pipe vertically into the filling valve.

Allow 2-3 minutes for the gas to stabilize after refilling before operating the torch.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your butane torch:
- Cleaning: Wipe the torch body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the torch in water.
- Nozzle Care: Keep the flame tube and nozzle clean and free of debris. Blockages can affect flame quality.
- Storage: Store the torch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure it is completely empty of gas if storing for extended periods.
- Gas Quality: Always use high-quality butane gas to prevent clogging of the internal mechanisms.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your butane torch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Torch does not ignite | No butane gas; Air in tank; Clogged nozzle; Faulty ignition. | Refill with butane; Purge air from tank; Clean nozzle; Contact support if ignition is faulty. |
| Flame is weak or inconsistent | Low butane level; Air in tank; Clogged nozzle; Incorrect flame adjustment. | Refill butane; Purge air; Clean nozzle; Adjust flame intensity. |
| Gas leaks during refilling | Butane canister not inserted vertically; Valve not fully engaged; Canister nozzle incompatible. | Ensure canister is inserted straight and firmly; Check for compatible long-nozzle butane. |
| Flame goes out frequently | Low butane level; Air in tank; Overheating (if used too long). | Refill butane; Purge air; Allow torch to cool down. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
