Setup and Installation
1. Location Selection
Choose a location that is close to the point of use, protected from freezing temperatures, and has adequate space for maintenance. The unit can be wall-mounted or floor-mounted.

2. Mounting the Unit
- Secure the hanging plate to a sturdy surface using the provided screws.
- Mount the water heater onto the hanging plate. Ensure it is level and securely fastened.
3. Plumbing Connections
Connect the cold water supply to the blue inlet pipe and the hot water outlet to the red pipe. Use the provided 1/2" NPT stainless steel water hoses. Install the T&P (Temperature and Pressure) relief valve on the hot water outlet side, ensuring the discharge line is directed to an open drain.

4. Filling the Tank
Before connecting power, open a hot water faucet in your system to allow air to escape. Then, open the cold water supply valve to the heater. Once water flows steadily from the hot water faucet, the tank is full. Close the hot water faucet.
5. Electrical Connection
Connect the unit to a standard 120-volt electrical outlet. Ensure the circuit is properly grounded and rated for 1500 watts. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about electrical requirements.
Operating Instructions
1. Initial Startup
After filling the tank and connecting power, the unit will begin heating. The digital display will show the current water temperature. The first heating cycle may take several hours to reach the desired temperature.
2. Adjusting Temperature
Use the rotary knob on the front panel to set the desired water temperature. The display will show the set temperature briefly, then revert to the current water temperature. The maximum temperature is 167°F (75°C).
3. Normal Operation
The heater will automatically maintain the set temperature. When hot water is drawn, cold water enters the tank, and the heating element activates to reheat the water.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your water heater.
1. Draining the Tank
If the unit will not be used for an extended period or if there is a risk of freezing, drain the tank. Disconnect power, close the cold water supply valve, and open the drain valve located at the bottom of the unit. Open a hot water faucet to allow air into the tank for faster draining.
2. T&P Relief Valve Check
Periodically check the T&P relief valve to ensure it is not obstructed and is functioning correctly. Refer to the valve manufacturer's instructions for specific testing procedures.
3. Anode Rod Inspection
The anode rod helps protect the tank from corrosion. It should be inspected and replaced as needed, typically every 3-5 years, depending on water quality. This procedure should be performed by a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No hot water | No power; thermostat set too low; heating element failure. | Check power supply/breaker; adjust thermostat; contact service technician. |
| Water not hot enough | Thermostat set too low; excessive hot water usage; sediment buildup. | Increase thermostat setting; allow recovery time; drain and flush tank. |
| Water too hot | Thermostat set too high; faulty thermostat. | Decrease thermostat setting; contact service technician. |
| Leaking from T&P valve | Excessive pressure/temperature; faulty valve. | Check water pressure; contact service technician to inspect/replace valve. |
| Noisy operation | Sediment buildup in tank. | Drain and flush tank to remove sediment. |
