What's in the Box
Upon unboxing your Logitech M705 Marathon Wireless Mouse, ensure all components are present:

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The M705 mouse uses two AA batteries. These may be pre-installed with a pull tab or included separately.
- Locate the battery compartment door on the underside of the mouse.
- Slide the battery compartment door open.
- If a pull tab is present, remove it. If batteries are separate, insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment door securely.

2. Connecting via Logitech Unifying Receiver
The Logitech Unifying Receiver provides a reliable 2.4 GHz wireless connection.
- Locate the tiny Logitech Unifying Receiver. It may be stored inside the battery compartment of the mouse.
- Plug the Unifying Receiver into an available USB port on your computer (PC, Mac, Laptop, Chromebook).
- Turn on the mouse using the On/Off switch located on the underside. The mouse should automatically connect.
- If the mouse does not connect automatically, download and install the Logitech Options software from the official Logitech website to pair the device.

3. Connecting via Bluetooth Smart Wireless Technology
The M705 also supports Bluetooth Smart for direct connection to compatible devices without the need for the Unifying Receiver.
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Turn on the M705 mouse.
- Press and hold the Easy-Switch button (located on the underside of the mouse, usually labeled 1, 2, or 3) for three seconds until the LED light starts blinking rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
- On your computer or device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Logitech M705" from the list of available devices to complete the pairing process.
- The LED light on the mouse will turn solid for 5 seconds when connected.

Button Functions and Customization
The M705 Marathon Mouse features 5 programmable buttons and a versatile scroll wheel:
- Left/Right Click: Standard mouse clicks.
- Hyper-Fast Scroll Wheel: Allows you to fly through long documents and web pages with a simple spin. Press the button below the scroll wheel to switch between hyper-fast and click-to-click scrolling.
- Tilt Wheel: Tilt the scroll wheel left or right for horizontal scrolling, useful in spreadsheets or wide documents.
- Thumb Buttons: Two conveniently placed thumb buttons (forward/back) for easy navigation.
- Logitech FLOW: Utilize the Easy-Switch button on the underside to seamlessly switch between up to 3 connected computers, allowing you to move your cursor, text, and files across screens.
